My name is Davide Sasso and I love photography and animation. During this summer I spent few days in Alberobello, Italy. During my stay in this small town I saw the characteristic houses called “trulli” and I took some photos of the place that looked like it was straight out of one of Hayao Miyazaki’s films! I am a great lover of animation, in particular of the works of Studio Ghibli which inspired me for this photographic project.

I uploaded this project to my socials and to my surprise the photos immediately went viral! Millions of views and hundreds of thousands of “likes” that I never expected, I’m happy that my works are liked so much!

In the photos I also put some hidden “easter eggs” and seeing people in the comments discussing all together to find them all really amused me! Also, I am getting tons of beautiful fan art from designers from all over the world.

I am really happy to have shown this beautiful town of southern Italy to the world through my photographs. If you go to Italy, I absolutely recommend you to see Alberobello, you will not regret it!
