I Took Magnificent Photos Of Abandoned Sites Throughout Italy To Evoke Feelings Of The Past
I traveled to Italy to create a project that narrates the stories of various abandoned places throughout this country.
Turning your own city it's not difficult to discover many neglected, unique houses. I decided to examine and revive the glory of Italian architecture by photographing villas, churches, castles, and hospitals, which were abandoned by all, even by memories.
I have embarked on some extensive travels throughout Italy, looking for places full of stories, unique interior designs; places that have been inhabited and then left to oblivion, to the domain of dust.
The result has left me shocked. I could not imagine the charm and beauty of some of these haunted houses I've discovered along the way.
Houses still furnished, where you can almost hear the sounds of the past lives. Large frescoed rooms that give a sense of glory and majestic evenings. And abandoned psychiatric hospitals, full of emotions and experiences of the distinctly different spectrum.
It's hard to put into words the emotions that pervade when I cross the threshold of these places. I created this cool photo project in order to transmit to viewers a feeling of awe, wonder, and surprise, all mixed with a turmoil of sadness. Then these sites will come back to life, only in our imagination.

A second look at these photos, extremely interesting, good photographer !!!
The chairs and couch are really very elegant. A good clean and they’ll look great in the most modern apartment.
funny how the pram is not covered with the debree falling from the ceiling. must have been a coincidence. Many of these pictures look very staged. the television with pavarotti on is just weird. It takes away from the shots.
Wow. If any of those existed in my city, they would all be filled with squatters.
Most Urban Explorers don't post the location for fear of squatters, looters, arsonists, and graffiti "artists."
Load More Replies...Whenever I see these old broken buildings I thinks why can't these be restored? Some of them look like they have not been abandoned all that long ago. I know the expense would be enormous but feel it is really sad that history is being lost.
Agreed. Some of these look more vacant than abandoned. It looks like a good cleaning would make them livable again. It's not as good as restored but at least they wouldn't be completely lost.
Load More Replies...Why were these places abandoned? For how long have they been abandoned at the time these photos were taken?
A wonderful collection of images that I enjoyed looking at thank you. I live in Italy so was very interested to see what you had found.
