I Recreated Odd Eating Habits Of Famous Artists And It Tells More About Their Lives Than You Expect
"The Artist Diet" visualizes the rituals and routines of famous artists and their eating habits. I started researching each artist individually to fine tune the details of which era it referred to, which setting they worked in, which other rituals surrounding the food were important, and how this process played into their work. There are details in each photo beyond the food that directly reference facts about their life.

OMG...where's the Tabasco sauce for the oysters? Is he even civilized?
It was difficult to include all of the details in every photo, but the odd part about these eating habits were the ritual itself not necessarily the food - as in, they ate these things EVERY day without fail in order to create or because of some other quirk. The food wasn't always odd, but it was an obsessive ritual that fueled their work. David Lynch's ritual went on every day for 7 years straight. According to Proust's servant - that croissant and coffee was literally the ONLY thing he ate all day. It's fascinating to read in depth about each artist!
How about Edgar Allan Poe? I can imagine it as a barrel of beer and a plate of rice. :)
