98 Photographs Showing The Radiance Of People Living In Mozambique, By Bruno Pedro
There are many different cultures all over the world, full of different traditions and ways of living. A photographer named Bruno Pedro travels the world to show these differences between the cultures in our world; however, this time he decided to focus on the beauty of his own country—Mozambique, a southern African nation, whose capital is Maputo. About 30 million people are living there as of right now. Bruno set a goal of showing how bright and beautiful they are. That there aren't only landmarks, natural resources, and nature there, but unique and joyful people.
The photographer captured the people of Mozambique and their daily lives. In these photos, we can see smiling and happy people. They are enjoying their lives and spreading positive energy that we can feel even through the photographs... which is what we all need during these hard and difficult times.

Beautiful picture, i love the way the photographer captures the reflections of light in the babies eyes
The person who took this is so skilled. I really love the sunset and the surroundings. Also, the boy seems like he is having a great time in the water/river/lake.
as a photographer myself I can agree that this is amazing

Poor kids, already have skin conditions. Albino children shouldn't go out without proper hats and clothes. They can't even look at the camera with all that sun in their eyes.
There's a charity in one of the African countries where they are in danger, which takes them to a great orphanage and gives them sunglasses. You wouldn't believe the effort needed to buy a few pairs of cheap plastic glasses. Many do end up blind without prevention or proper care. Things we tend to take for granted...

Oh no. Most albinos in Africa don't get the necessary protection from the sun. His skin is quite damaged.
When was the last time you saw clear blue sky :(

I'm just curious, why do they paint their faces white? Is there a deep meaning behind it? I WANT ANSWERS
The white paste is called mussiro and is extracted from a native plant. It was traditionally worn by women to display their virgin status and marriagability. It is now worn as a beauty mask. (Probably works as sunscreen, too.). The part of Mozambique where these photos were taken is called the "land of beautiful women".

She is a strong woman she won't take any crap from anyone. She knows her worth
Why have some people got the white paste thing on their face ? Is it some kind of ritual ? Please explain
It's called "msindzano/msindanu", it a a sandalwood paste. Common in some Indian ocean islands, Comoria and Mozambique. Sandalwood is known to be really good for the skin, it is used in cosmetics worldwide. It protect the skin and is a beauty mask. On some occasions like marriage it is used as a skin jewel with pretty drawings (like henna).

Looks like she practicing that "look" women give their mate when they do something stupid.
Why does this remind me of animal crossing new horizons ( I need help)
That's the white sandalwood who is used to make their beauty masks.
I would have dumped all that out two steps in lol. I've always marveled at the people that carry items on their heads!
Looks like a wonderful place. Beautiful, happy, hardworking people. The children are especially lovely!

I've always been a fan of black and white photography. This photo is quite amazing.
This photographer really understands light and color. Such amazing pictures.....almost every single one is a masterpiece. Thank you for sharing with us.
The amount of beauty in these photographs is astounding!!!! Each one was SO incredible! <3
I'm very shy about photographing strangers, so I'm in awe of your ability to connect with people.
That's not a thing that you can learn, i'm a really poor photographer, just a normal woman without any skills, and i have some amazing pictures of emotions in Ramallah, Marrakech, Hebron... mostly kids and elderly people. And some with elderly and their grandkids. Not good pictures for a photographer, but good pictures of emotions, true emotions. You can't ask someone for a picture, you can ask them if they are OK with you taking pictures, including them. Then got the right shot among a lot of pictures, after talking for a while, even with hands. One time I was annoyed by a young men for taking a picture of an old men working on jewelery. The old men told the young one it was OK, because i asked before and talked a lot with him before, without actual words. You can connect with people if you want to, you are human, they are too, you don't need words to connect with people. If you are a "tourist" just taking pictures, that's not the way to connect with people. You have a heart and hands
