I Make Surrealistic Art From The Photos I Take With My Phone
They say that the best camera is the one you carry with you. I photograph a lot with my smartphone, thousands of interesting photos a year. And the simple reason is that I have a mobile camera with me all the time and that I really enjoy photography art.
I am active on Instagram, where I publish my photo ideas. But one day I scrolled through my huge mobile photo gallery and came up with an idea about combining some of the best photos, and make some surrealistic art from them. I have always been inspired by the band’s Imagine Dragons album art. So I kind of had that in mind making my own photo manipulations. The resulting cool photos are far away from the inspiration, like it always is, and maybe as it should be.
I combined 3-5 of my mobile photos in Photoshop. While photo editing, I also added a layer of graphics to make the images more interesting. The only thing that I used that was shot with a proper camera was a photo of the sky full of stars. That was shot with my DSLR with long exposure.
Even though the quality isn’t the best in these beautiful photos, I was surprised about what you actually can do with mobile photography.
