To me, drawing portraits is one of the most pleasant and challenging activities at the same time. All pets are adorable and just like people, having unique facial features. I draw them realistically in order to show their individuality and a mood.
Every new portrait has it’s own reason to be made. Some people ask to draw their pet for fun, interior idea, a gift, a family tradition or a good memory of a pet which has past away.
Those reasons are essential in my work. As much I know about the personal reasons for the portrait the better portrait I am making. I am also open for a discussion of size, media, framing and composition. All of this helps to realize time frames and the main vision of a portrait.
Here I presented some of the charcoal portraits.
