This is incredibly common. Everyone does this, actually. Intrusive thoughts. I tend to think “how much can I key this car”.

My girlfriend does this a lot. I end up answering her and she just replies "nobody is talking to you, talking to myself. mind your own business." LOL

Cupboard doors need to be closed when not in use. It's not that I won't necessarily be able to sleep, it's just why would they be open?

I have to stop the microwave 1 second before it stops so it wont do the annoying beeps at the end

I totally do that too. I will get into beef with my friends and then in the shower (specifically the shower,) I will make up arguments between us and come up with the best roasts and win!

This is not weird at all. Introverts and socially anxious people do this to try to control uncomfortable situations.

Confession: I make up movie scenes and act them out.. It gets to real though, sometimes I cry when I lose my invisible friend in my own made-up scene. Am I really the only one who does this?

I always wish in conversations I could slam my fist down on the table and demand the other person acts like how I planned out in my head.

Me, too. And I still don't know how to get myself to follow the conversation in real life when the time comes. If it comes. I try to think about what I might say to someone who wronged me in the past. My roommate keeps telling me to let things go. Sure. Okay, like you do? 😁

My sisters and I used to try holding our breath over bridges when were little. I think we thought it'd make us float if we fell in the water

Both my kids do this, they go through fazes where every so often they will sleep a couple of weeks on the floor.

That's pretty high stakes for just trying to hit the trash can with some garbage. Go big I guess.

I used to do that, now I've learned to be more discreet (unless I'm in nature, then you can let go)
