Hatred is one of the most powerful of human emotions. It can be strong and overwhelming, sometimes even clouding the judgment of the mind and heart. There are many different targets that hate can be directed towards, and while some of them are completely unjustifiable, others are quite understandable. It is important to note that the latter is typically the sort of hate that is controlled and manageable, the kind that we encounter on a more or less daily basis.
This is exactly what today’s story is about—controlled and conscious hate, and more specifically, hate towards certain kinds of, or even specific people. It all started when someone on Reddit asked “Who’s your ‘I friggin' hate this guy’ guy?" The question on the r/AskReddit subforum collected 25.5k upvotes in a couple of days. I'm a big guy, physical job. But I don't look massively bulked up. I've had workers who go to the gym every day, all 6 packs and forearms. Some give up after half a day. Some last a few weeks, but I'll shift 6 tonnes of aggregates while they do 1. The more "alpha" they are, the less likely they are to just work through their weakness and become really work-fit. They think they are tough already and the job is the problem. It's hilarious and I think it'll eventually lead to mental illness (which isn't hilarious), as they will never admit to being afraid or anxious or low. I much prefer a guy who can say "When I dropped the kids off at the ex's house I had a good cry on the way home." "Alpha" is just a word to say, "I'm too scared to say when I feel weak."

My best friend moved to a different state, met a guy and quickly got engaged. She brought him to meet us and he told me how much he made within the first 10 min. Asked what I made, scoffed at the amount. Said he would never live in my apt because we didn't have an elevator. Said he would never be caught dead driving in a car like mine.. Also said he buys new cars every 2 years. Talked over my friend CONSTANTLY. I would ask her a question and he would answer for her. He complained about the amount of money she made and made fun of her job.. She's a social worker who works with underage girls that have eating disorders. He styles his mustache to do that pretentious curl thing with wax. F**k that guy.

Right now, Louis DeJoy and the whole USPS board of directors for propping him up. A military manufacturer contacted to make a dinosaur fleet of 8.6mpg delivery vans. Purposefully slowing delivery to cripple and dismantle the public post. I hate him with a passion.

I was going to work for the USPS and at the orientation the speaker ripped this guy apart. He completely screwed all the workers and was trying to milk them even more. The mail delivery problems that were dominating the news were all singlehandedly caused by him

A friend of some friends of mine. Has a fake service dog he takes everywhere. Drives stoned. Can never be wrong. Accuses friends of cheating when he loses games. Gloats when he wins. Always late. Blames everyone else for his problems. Cheated on his wife then blamed her for the divorce. Either brags or has a pity party. Anything he can't be a part of he tries to ruin.

Ahhhhhh, the Ultracrepidarian., the actual common denominator. Spouts out BS like he knows everything about everything with zero actual experience, talks down to other employees, is a workplace racist, sexist bully and actually manages to convince the " higher ups " that it's everyone else's fault. I'm currently compiling a file on one of these for my adult son. I really cannot wait for the stinky brown stuff to hit the very fast whirl thing.

John Schnatter. oh boy, there's a lot...he's been accused of spying on workers, stalking, and sexual harassment (which resulted in at least two confidential settlements). he also blamed NFL players kneeling during the national anthem (to protest police brutality) for negative effects on pizza sales, and used the n word during a conference call. for a while Papa John's was hailed as "the official pizza of the alt-right"...anyway, Schnatter stepped down as CEO in 2018, and is no longer associated with Papa John's.

Worked as a receptionist at an eye doctor / glasses store for a bit. There was this one dude who I kept needing to call (confirm exam appointment, question about order, his glasses are ready, his glasses were ready a week ago and he still hasn't picked them up, etc). This dude never answered his phone, and his voicemail message was 2 minutes of him acting like he couldn't hear you ("Hello? ...Hello? I can't hear you" etc) and then him saying "Just text me" and then you hear the beep for the voicemail machine to start recording.
First time I fell for it because he did a genuinely convincing job. Every other time I had to sit through this long a** thing to be able to actually leave a message. Bet this idiot thought he was sooo clever and didn't even consider that someone other than his friends would call. No I can't "just text you" from the vision center's landline. Hope this guy gets a clue before he applies to jobs with this or something. F**k that guy

My kids' school superintendent. He calls st 5 am to announce school closings in the middle of ice storms when every other school district in the county announces their closings by 8pm the night before

Can I be general? The guy who abruptly stops walking in the middle of a hallway/sidewalk OR has their neck completely craned over their phone and is walking at like… two steps per minute. I know I’m American and the stereotype is that we’re all rushing around busy…but seriously dude. I have long legs and places to be. Pick up the pace.

Recently my wife had to fly to SF and a huge group of teens was on the plane. On the way out one of them dead stopped in the middle of the busy-as-hell airport exit, roller bag on each side. No awareness whatsoever. Didn't shift until he got scolded.

Former coworker of mine. After working here 6 months, he'd still routinely play like he didn't know the absolute basics so that I'd have to do his work. Problem is that this would leave customers hanging over an hour on simple requests that should be done within 5 minutes or less.

A teacher in our school. Always so arrogant. Talks to students in a condescending way. I mean yeah students should respect teachers of course, but she just automatically thinks we should all listen to her and acts like she's the boss.

The Dean...you mean the Dean or the president, but probably the dean. You can take things over his head, he is just a guy. If you have a complaint write it out clearly without emotion and find out who is actually over that person. I've done it a couple of times. Worked in my favor.

People who look down at those who don't earn as much or just for working a job. People who speak to others in a crappy tone just because they have to interact with you, so they make it apparent by sounding sarcastic with every word and adding a vocal fry in an attempt to sound like they're better or more important. These people just sound ridiculous and snotty.

My hate-buckets are full of world leaders who have used their power for personal gain, usually at the expense of their own people. So Putin is currently top of my list. Mugabe used to be, but he's dead. Kim Jong-Un, Jair Bolsonaro, Bashar al-Hassad, and then people like Martin Shrekli. Oh, there's so many. And they're all men, coincidentally...

Unfortunately, in order to get into a powerful position you have to grease a lot of palms. Every elected official has to have people on their side and money to pay for things. This sets up an environment where in order to even run for office you have to be corrupt.
