Watch These 2 Parrots Have The Most Adorable, Human-Like “Conversation”
We already know that parrots are not only incredibly adorable, but they also have an extraordinary ability to mimic the sounds they hear, too. Their talent for imitating human language is particularly well-documented on the internet. However, does anyone know why parrots are so good at imitating sounds? Well, one explanation suggests that these brightly-colored birds have evolved the ability to address particular individuals of a flock.

Unsurprisingly, parrots are social birds and love communicating with one another. Being flock animals, they travel and feed together as a group, while doing other activities together as well. Parrots are prey animals as well, which means that the well-being of the flock is essential for them in order to survive.

And these amazing birds are no airheads, too! “Humans have these really big brains, but guess what, parrots have really big brains too. In fact, if you overlay a graph of brain size to body mass for parrots on top of one for non-human primates, they sit in a perfect line,” explained Dr. Andrew Iwaniuk of the University of Alberta.
Besides talking, they also did some cuddling

And even some kissing, too!

Now that you know a thing or two about parrots and their need for communication, why not watch it in live-action? Just last year, a short but sweet video of two colorful birds went viral because their conversation looked eerily similar to those of humans. Viewed by more than 4M people, the video was dubbed by some as ‘relationship goals’. “This one minute video has more romance than my entire life,” one person commented.
