I Made Tiny Paper Art of My Favorite Spooky Movie Characters, And Here’s The Result (35 Pics)
I have been making paper art for some time now and October is always my favorite month because I make teeny tiny paper homages to some of my favorite horror or Halloween-related movies.
This year, I decided to only make the ladies - scream queens, final girls, and ladies of the night. I'm really proud of how they turned out!

The Book of Life
My name is Kristy and I’m a paper artist. What started as a silly hobby back in 2015 has evolved into a full-time job for me, and I couldn’t be happier. From conceiving the design, to choosing a palette, to meticulously cutting, to the final assembly, it’s truly a joy to create something unique out of this nontraditional medium.

Spot on from her crazed smile to her dragging across the floor on her tiptoes!🧙♀️
While the pieces I make tend to depict all corners of the pop culture universe, from television, to movies, to celebrities, my favorite pieces have always been my 31 Days of Halloween. Each year, I create a series of paper pieces to pay homage to some of my favorite haunted moments. I love horror movies, slashers, zombies, vampires, ghosts, paranormal, all of it. But in 2021, I decided to change it up a bit. The theme I chose to focus on that year was exclusively women in horror and call the series Ghoul’s Night Out.
Bewitched
Hocus Pocus
I assigned each day a theme (Monster Monday, Traumatic Tuesday, Wicked Wednesday, Thirsty Thursday, Final Girl Friday, Satanic Saturday, and Six-Feet Under Sunday) and curated a list of classic vicious vixens, haunted heroines, and mistresses of the night. I had never done a project this big, with this many characters, with this many special requirements, but I felt inspired to bring these iconic women out from the shadows and into the light.
Alien
Squid Game
Creating something this massive came with some challenges but more importantly some new opportunities. Given the variety of characters, I had a chance to practice with some techniques I never really explored, including doing more with shading to add more depth to the designs, experimenting with new types of materials like vellum to give a translucent look, and playing more with dynamic poses and designs. I also had a chance to revisit some of my older designs from 2018 and reimagine them in my more developed and polished style. The end result was a series I am incredibly proud of to this day.
