In 2019 I Dedicated Each Day To Drawing Endangered Animals, And Here Are 25 Of My Best Ones
I've dedicated 2019 to a cause that is very close to my heart and that is biodiversity conservation. The challenge was to draw an endangered animal each day for the whole year, raising awareness and using my art as a means of giving a voice to animals that WE have pushed toward extinction. For more on this challenge see here.
Nature boundlessly inspires us all, but the truth is that it's disappearing at a rate faster than ever before. We are the first generation that has a clear picture of the value of nature and the enormous impact we have on it, and we may be the last that can act to reverse this trend.

Arabian Leopard
Critically endangered.
Demonic Poison Frog
Critically endangered.
Dama Gazelle
Critically endangered.
Rondo Dwarf Galago
Critically endangered.
Nelson's Antelope Squirrel
Endangered.
Oncilla
Vulnerable.
Black Sea Bass
Critically endangered.
White Rumped Vulture
Critically endangered.
Vultures are really important to ecosystems and some species are endangered because of poisoning. I don't know about this species in particular, but losing vultures can really have a negative affect on an ecosystem, of which we are a part. Here is an article, though again, I don't know about this particular species of vulture: "Loss of vultures damaging for humans, ecosystem: study" (https://www.thehindu.com/sci-tech/energy-and-environment/Loss-of-vultures-damaging-for-humans-ecosystem-study/article14304522.ece)
Beluga
Critically endangered.
Now with this creature you have to bs careful and put its full name and put beluga sturgeon because if you just put beluga people often think of the beluga whale, even though their both protected species
Desperate Leaf Chameleon
Critically endangered.
I like the choice of colours for a concept like this. These are grayscale with a touch of colour. Gives the effect of something that's fading away and striving to survive at the same time. Good job, really.
These are beautiful, haunting, and almost hopeful paintings. Do you have a Gofundme or some other way of donating? I would love to see more of these.
Stunning work! It feels as if the color are splashes of hope that it is perhaps not too late just yet...
i cant belive this was three years ago, how did it reach the front page in 2022
These animals are so close to being gone from our world. Anybody know of someway I can help? I really want to save all of these cuties (especially the otters)
You are an amazing artist and using your talent for such an important cause is wonderful!
You do all know that President Trump and his administration are trying to roll back the endangered species act that has saved so many species over the decades? There are rich people who need to get richer, so they want to dismantle the program.
Every day is a bit extreme especially with art this bad. I appreciate you trying but please stop trying.
This is just so sad. And the saddest part is that when you're done at the end of 2019, you have just depicted a tiny, tiny fraction of the endangered animals (plants are a whole other level) and some you depicted are probably already extinct. And as long as we exist and destroy their habitats and actively kill them, there's no hope. Those little drawings are beautiful, though.
