I Started Painting On Feathers In 2013, Here Is A Selection Of My Favorite Feather Paintings From Last Year (24 Pics)
They call me the feather lady.
When I started painting feathers in 2013 I never knew it would become so popular. Now, I am known for it and people all over the world buy my feathers.
I collect feathers from my walks. Also, people send me the feathers they find and their bird's feathers.
Painting feathers is a difficult art to master. It takes patience, much practice, and understanding of birds.
Here is a selection of my favorite feather paintings from 2018.

Load More Replies...Amazing work. Especially the small ones which still have many clearly visible details. I can only imagine how hard it is to paint on an material like feathers.
Thanks for your appreciation Night owl (and your sense of humour) 😊 it has taken a long while to get to the stage I am at now and I'm still learning.
Load More Replies...I love painting them too! Unfortunately it is hard to find fox feathers in this day and age 😉😂😊
Load More Replies...omg, what an awesome talent you have! i can't draw a straight line, so i'm definitely in awe of this. LOVE the earrings, but would be so scared to wear them for fear of messing up the continuity of the artwork.
I have customers frame my painted feather jewellery for the same reason instead of wearing it! I urge people to wear it because it's been fluttering about the wild for a few years before I get my hands on it and the paint is acrylic so not washing off hahaha. If they get wet they can he back to new left to dry naturally then given a little preen 😉
Load More Replies...Her website doesn't say, but if I were to attempt something so delicate, I would probably use oil paints thinned with linseed or another base.
Load More Replies...These are so amazing!!! You are SO talented, I bow down to your amazingness :D ^ ^
These are beautiful and unique. Personally I've never seen paintings on feathers before. Awesome idea and great talent.
I love a challenge and, although, I paint on canvas and paper regularly, I mostly paint on unstable surfaces to test and improve my skills. After all Tyler, life would be so boring if we didn't Puch ourselves somewhat...wouldn't it?
