“Let the Sunshine In” – The Fifth Dimension first sang this song in the 1970s and they had an important insight with a message we shouldn’t forget. Light can have a powerful effect on the lives we lead. Whether daylight or moonlight, those sparkling beams are magical elixirs that do great things in our minds and hearts.
Over 100 artists from around the work have created magic with their fascinating and fantastic interpretations of light. The ‘Shine the Light’ Virtual Art Exhibit hosted by Inside Small challenged the artists to create unique pieces no larger than 10″ in any direction. The artists have worked in various mediums from collage to fiber to photography to watercolor.
While the artists are connected by their commitment to small, the beauty of these diminutive works allows for a notable presence of creativity, and undeniable individuality. The artworks’ smallness demands the viewer’s close inspection and contemplation. Small works also provide a rare opportunity to obtain artwork from your favorite artists to add to your art collection or to give as a unique gift.
