You may have heard the old adage “never judge a book by its cover”, but sometimes first impressions really do count – especially when it comes to film and TV.
The opening moments of a movie or show’s pilot episode -including its credits, first scene and the first spoken line – tell us a lot about the tone, mood and themes which follow.
