One-Panel Comics Filled With Absurd Situations And Silly Humor By Tomversation (30 Pics)
Interview With ArtistWe are back again with more silly and fun comics. This time we present Tomversation.toons. This artist creates old-school, one-panel comics. They are filled with absurd humor and unexpected twists, weird characters, and situations that not many of us run into.
The style that this artist uses is very reminiscent of newspaper comics and there's something very nostalgic about them. The comics are very simple, but at the same time have quite a lot of detail and expression. The artist enjoys puns and wordplay. He sometimes even includes a little dark humor in his comics.

We managed to get an interview from Tomversation and he told us what the main goal of his illustrations is: "The main goal of the illustrations is to complement the gags/jokes that I come up with. Which I think is the job of a single-panel gag-a-day cartoon panel."
We asked the artist how he got into art: "I was born with it. I've been into art since I could hold a crayon. I started drawing cartoons many years ago, I don't remember when, it seems like always. I am going to continue them until the day I die. It's part of me. The most difficult part, I would think, is coming up with the ideas or gags for the cartoons. The drawing is the easy part, coming up with daily ideas is the main work involved."
"I would describe my style as fast—quick—sparse. I was told by a cartoon editor one time that I draw fast. And I do. Also, the past few years I have tried to be clean in the drawings, in that I don't clutter them up with many details or backgrounds. I see it as a black box stage, where there is a table and chairs and not much else on the stage other than the actors. And my humor as a bit cerebral. Not everyone gets the gags, I think at times my humor makes you stop and think."
The artist shared what inspires him to move forward: "The same thing that inspires me to breathe and eat every day. It's just part of my life. It's what I do. Plus, funny, crazy ideas just pop into my head and I need an outlet to get them out."
Here's some advice from Tomversation for aspiring artists: "Just do it. There is no right way or wrong way. Just do it and share it with the world."
The artist tells us more about himself: "I live in Miami, I travel often. I come up with ideas from anywhere as I travel the world, I just hear something or see something and twist it in my mind to be funny."
dying be like: hehe I found the detective's watch, lemme just lay on it- *dies*
"Tomversation is published Monday-Friday at TomFalco.com and on social media at Facebook and Instagram at @tomversation.toons. Also, I have a blog where I talk about art, culture, my left, etc. at Tomversation.com"

The card says "you are in big trouble if you don't pay us what you owe us..."
GO AWAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Many of these are not at all original to this particular artist. I'm 70, and I very distinctly remember a lot of these cartoons being around in the 1960s and 70s, just with artists of those years.
