Rooms With A View

Each one of these windows I have peered through and each one on their own has its own unique story, some are over 200 years old. I am based in Tasmania Australia and take pictures of abandoned places. One of the first things I look for inside are the windows. People seem to love them on my page so I thought why not show some here, from my large growing collection.

I hold immense respect for the places I visit. I am not a criminal nor do I condone criminal activity. I would never force entry, never steal, never alter what I find. Entering and exiting, leaving perhaps a footprint only I will capture and document “the story” via imagery and deliver it in a way I see it.

What I document today may at some stage return to dust – nature or mankind make change and win in the end.

Urbexography is a conglomeration of images primarily surrounding Urban Exploration with a side component of other Photography genres. I have always loved abandoned and derelict dwellings amongst other decaying items. There are many places with significant history which now lay dormant for numerous reasons. Slowly eroding from the elements they are largely "unseen" and perhaps forgotten. I hold immense respect for the places I visit. I am not a criminal nor do I condone criminal activity. Entering and exiting, leaving perhaps a footprint only I will capture and document "the story" via imagery and deliver it in a way I see it. Do I believe in ghosts ? I am not sure, but what I do know is that I often experience mixed feelings within the walls of some derelict dwellings. It is sometimes an incredible feeling standing within the confines of a now defective abode and taking just a few minutes to reflect and imagine how people once existed, functioned and lived out their lives within. I rarely explore alone as the experience is enhanced with others who are like minded and hold the same respect and code as me. What I explore and document via imagery today may at some stage return to dust - nature or mankind make change and win in the end. Thanks !
