I always wanted to see New York in October, when golden leaves adorn the paths of Central Park, and outdoor cafes lure you to sip hot chocolate on the cosy terraces. Not last year alone!
After landing at JFK airport, my friend and I were welcomed by the perfectly blue sky and summery weather. We took off the warm clothes, put on some red lipstick and, despite the jet lag, took a train to Manhattan to get to know the never-sleeping city.
We somehow ran into the sign of “Little Italy”. After looking at small tables on the narrow sidewalk, we sat down at the restaurant called “Lunella”. This is where I had my first cappuccino in New York. The fact that the staff kindly allowed us to leave our suitcases at the back of the restaurant for the whole day, was more relished than the morning coffee!

Well, thanks for your compassion, the poor canvas suffered a lot indeed!
