A year ago I relocated to Denmark with my composer husband and my 4-year-old child. Now I make art for Denmark.
Check out my long exposure images taken during the long and dark winter in Copenhagen, Denmark.

Enjoyed the photos but am confused. I was expecting lots of snow and ice. Is this unusual or have the Vikings been lying to me?
HAHAHAHAHA!!!! A little bit lying to you. In the northern regions of Scandinavia, yes there is snow and ice. In Copenhagen, where these were taken, we don't get much snow. The real important thing to remember about the Scandinavian winter is not the snow and ice but the darkness.... it is very VERY dark up here. Much more dark than cold.
