Colombian artist Camilo Matiz created a series of light sculptures which confront the viewers with the duality of who they are and how they perceive themselves.
This satirical study of reflection takes bright neon signs and finds their honest hidden messages. "Take a Selfie" becomes "Fake a Life", or "Believe You Can" turns into "Lie To Yourself Anyway". Matiz highlights that peoples' lives often reflect their unrealized desires of the heart, mind, and soul even if they try to hide everything.

Take A Selfie/Fake A Life
Believe You Can/Lie To Yourself Anyway
You Are A Star/You Bastard
I Love You/I’m Over You
Not Here/Here
Quite an interesting but rather negative subject matter, shame they are poorly exposed images.
I think of it more like yin and yang, neither side is negative, just opposite.
