Living with aggravating neighbors often feels like a test of patience – a ticking time bomb waiting to explode in either a harsh—often, curse word-embellished—monologue or repetitive complaints to the local police department. Or, in some cases, in a wonderful case of pro revenge.

You probably already see where this is going, but yes, today we’re shedding light on a case of pro revenge carried out by this redditor, who brought her annoying neighbors down a notch by giving them a lesson in parking. Scroll down to find the full story below.

Some neighbors should take a crash course on how not to be a jerk

This woman had enough of her neighbors’ aggravating behavior so she got back at them pro-revenge style

Some neighbors are far from the kind of people you would like to have in your life

Moving into a new neighborhood often means a new beginning – new friendly people who come to introduce themselves with a warm cherry pie in their hands, their children safely playing hide and seek with yours just outside your new home, and plenty of parking spaces for everyone to park their cars without blocking anyone in.

Wake up… You’re dreaming again.

In reality, it’s more likely that a neighbor—hopefully just one of them—will greet you with loud music instead of a pie, there will be an aggressive-looking dog roaming their front yard instead of a child, and they will block you in. Numerous times.

In the OP’s story, she wasn’t the one moving into a new neighborhood, but she didn’t greet the newcomers with a cherry pie, either. That’s because upon moving in, the new neighbors “began their reign of terror” in a place that the redditor described as a quiet little neighborhood. It’s no surprise that the residents of said neighborhood weren’t too happy with the family disturbing their peace, especially bearing in mind how rare peaceful moments tend to be in people’s fast-paced lives nowadays.

People want neighbors who are quiet and peaceful, but friendly, too

Whether it’s because of the scarcity of said precious moments of peace or other reasons, the majority of people prefer their neighbors to be quiet and peaceful. According to a recent survey, carried out by Go.Compare Home Insurance, more than seven-in-ten respondents say that these are the top qualities they would love their neighbors to have.

Be that as it may, a large share—roughly two-thirds—of respondents wanted their neighbors to be chatty, too, as well as friendly. They also wanted them to be willing to collect their deliveries while they’re out of town, respect garden boundaries and parking spots, in addition to doing such favors as putting their bin out for them.

While a neighbor like that might sound too good to be true, some people are lucky enough to have one. Others might like theirs despite them not having all of the above mentioned qualities. According to the survey, roughly three-in-four respondents actually like their neighbor.

Unfortunately, the OP wasn’t one of such lucky people, as she didn’t feel too fond of her fellow residents. However, her pro revenge might have made a difference in their behavior, as in the comments under the post, the redditor shared that it’s been peaceful and the family has been keeping to themselves.

Somebody who thinks that teenagers getting drunk then driving home is fine and probably drive whilst drunk themselves. Never mind the fact that they could kill themselves or other people whilst doing so.

Every neighborhood has at least one family like this. When I was growing up ours was the family across the street where the dad was a known Player In a Managment Profession. Cars everywhere. Parties. Noise. Trash Blocking people's driveways. Terrible neighbors.

Call me suspicious, but this reads exactly like one posted a couple of days ago, just with a lot more detailed embroidery added. All the friends with a cop, chatted to the tow-driver etc. has been added to make it sound more worthy, more justifiable, more whatever. And reddit readers just suck it up, it seems.

This isn't an uncommon issue. Just because you read about an event once, doesn't mean it can't ever happen again somewhere else.
