Part of a larger and ongoing project “Seasons in your hair” where for each month of the year I’m illustrating plants and nature that inspire me and I’m trying to capture the characteristics and emotions of those elements into the features and personality of the depicted model.

This particular one is called “Sakura” and represents the month of April. The cherry blossom is a representation of the feminine beauty and power. It is considered a symbol of the attractive looks of a woman and her power to command her male counterparts through her sexuality and beauty.

The materials I’ve used are: watercolor (Pebeo Studio, Van Gogh, Windsor &Newton Cotman), Fabriano Artistico watercolor paper.
