As I was staring at my stained purse, debating on what I should do with it – hide it in the garage, sell it (would anyone even buy it), donate it (would people want it), or throw it away, I decided to take a paintbrush and paint on it. It’s now one of my favorite purse and it’s not going anywhere!
This art is inspired by Vermeer’s The Girl with the Pearl Earrings.

Share on FacebookThank you! It's really a great way not only to cover a stain, but also make the purse more unique!
Load More Replies...What a happy accident this became! I did the same thing recently to a seat cushion that got a stain on it...just painted it instead of trying to clean the stain.
I like your idea. I have a sling "Guess" bag which I like so much. It's white on sides and black on front and back. Recently found the black stain spread to the white. So upset. Feels like painting the white with black. I tried to apply dye with a sponge but the black dye won't stick on it. Can I know what paint u use?
