Porter is my 11-year-old rescue dog. Soon after adopting him from The Coastal Humane Society in Georgia, I brought him to Alaska, to pursue my dreams of running a business.

One of the companies that I started is called Mountain Men of Alaska. Through photography, I try to capture the sensitive and humorous sides of Alaskan Men. Running this company has taken me on numerous adventures across the state. Being the dog lover that I am, I always try to include Porter in these adventures. Whenever possible, he comes along for my photoshoots. Porter, however, has a mind of his own, and craves the spotlight. He will walk in front of almost all of my shots, often distracting my models. It’s debatable whether he is ruining or enhancing my photos. It’s hard to find something more entertaining than a happy dog, living his life to the fullest in Alaska.
