Back in 20015 I suddenly lost my dog to a septicemia. It was a huge loss, he was a very alive, happy and super loving dog. His name was LOVito.

But I knew I had to fill that black hole and I kept my heart open. So, through local animal rescue groups on fb, this girl caught my eye by having a heart drawn on her head. I went to meet her, brought her home and named her Godji.

I love dogs and I love photography and what was my surprise when I found out that the bitch I accidentally picked is a natural poser.

From day one, I NEVER told her what pose or place she should occupy. The camera is always easily accessible and when Godji has “that look” and I just have to tell her to stay until I grab the camera and shoot. I can say that all the photos were “produced” by her.

I call her super-model-of-the-world and love her to the moon!

(Until today, I’m quite sure that it was Lovito who, in “Dog’s heaven”, arranged for me to find this girl to color the black hole and make me go back to taking pictures with pleasure.)

“Hei, what if we do something more graphic?”, she suggested.

Looking wonderful on black and red.

Morning light like a spotlight. And lipgloss!

Posing like an Empress.

“Only black and white is boring, let me give you a bit of colour!”, she said.

“Black and red definitely suit me”, she thought.

“What about some more colourful but dramatic look?”, she proposed.

A look is worth a thousand words.

“I know you like my profile, and I know you like flowers”, she said. And she’s right!

I think I see here some Hopper inspiration.. well done, Godji!

“Morning light is my favourite light!”, she whispered.

Love the way she framed herself in the window.

That look, that light, those colours… she just thinks about everything!

Showing the heart on her head.

Black and red, black and red, black and red…

Always in the right place, at the right moment. I NEVER told her what pose or place she should take.

She has got the look.

An Empress can do it.
