My 28 Comics Featuring Funny Situations From The Life Of A Comic Book Collector
The love story of a husband, a wife and a comic book collection. Collectors is a weekly comic strip about Eddie, a comic book collector who loves his wife and his comic collection...but not always in that order! My name is Eddie deAngelini and Collectors is my love letter to comic book collecting and my wife. It's dedicated to the pop culture phenomenon of comics and to all the wives who trip over longboxes all over the house!
For more fun and laughs, check out the Collectors website or Collectors socials at the link below. You can read new comic strips online every week and collect all the archives in seven print volumes!

I have a tuxedo cat I named Chadwick in honor of this actor, who left us far too soon.
My love of comics started when I was very young and I would spend hours copying the art I saw in those comics of my favorite characters.
The ideas for my comics come from real life interactions that I have and hear. Those small nuggets of ideas then go through a brainstorming and writing process to turn them into fully form jokes.
My creative process is hard to pin down. I spend one day a week dedicated to only writing. I gather up all the thoughts and ideas from the week and try to shape them into full dialogue for a comic strip. The process is part structure and part chaos.
I grew up loving the masters of comic art, like Jack Kirby, Steve Ditko and John Romita. However, the biggest influence on my art is the newspaper Sunday funnies. That art always stuck with me because it had the power to make people laugh.
A hero with no legs... Called the sitting duck. Uses his 'disability' to lull wrongdoers into a false sense of security before using his advanced upper body strength, honed through relying on his arms above all else... Why he quacks though, that's a lifestyle choice nobody really mentions...
Totally biased. I read Carl Barks, Little Lulu, Richie Rich, and Archie.
Got a 70+ year old crate of 'em in my garage
