In mid-May, I was invited to the Fajtfest Help Ukraine by the festival organizer to take some photos.

This two-day festival in the city Velké Meziříčí was founded in 2020, and the first name of this was festival was "Fajtfest Help Party". It was named that way to help the culture which was affected by covid and other events.

This year the name of the festival was changed after the Russian invasion of Ukraine. At the festival, there was an area where a money box was placed so the visitors could make donations to Ukrainian people and after the festival, the donations were passed to charity Člověk v tísni (thank you for that).

The lineup of bands were made mostly from Czech and Slovakia. But the main headliner of the festival was a Scottish metalcore band Bleed from Within. These guys performed on a Saturday night. From my point of view,  I could say that it was a good choice to make them as a headliner and I think that fans were also satisfied!

The headliners of Friday night were also from the United Kingdom and it was the band called Polar.

To me, this was my first open-air event this year and I can say I enjoyed it a lot! The photos I took already received positive feedback from the bands, and also from the organization.
