Color me skeptical. Hair cut in the painting looks much too modern. And the technique of the face also seems more modern than the rest of the painting. I suspect some retouching here.

So the first think I thought when I looked at the first pic was " Oh, I have a friend that looks pretty much the same as these two" So here's the result: she indeed looks like them: some-5a09d...0ec105.jpg
OK so I got a pic of a friend of mine. First thought was that she looked so much like these two girls and in the end, she really do: some-5a09d...04d8f3.jpg
*George V reborns in Brazil !* My friend Marcio Carneiro was born in Brazil and bears a striking resemblance to King George V from the United Kingdow. Similarities are not only physical, in the first place, he is a Lord. His manners and way of behaving are definetely coming from royalty. He cares for his look and is a bodybuilder . He loves art. Painting and dancing are his passions, and for those he is specially gifted. Marcio´s work shows off his Brazilian roots with pride. His paintings are very realistic and close to perfection, a truely royal artist.

Most of these really do NOT resemble the paintings--their noses, bone structures, etc. are all different. The only similarities are in their hair styles, which isn't saying much IMO.
I found mine in the Museu Nacional d'Art de Catalunya. 12928288_1...f1b9dc.jpg
anyone else notice that in #11 and #26 its the same picture in the background
Interesting. I wonder if the similar looks indicate some familial link.
What impresses me the most, is that a lot of them still have the same haircut (and beard)!

It's been said that we all have a twin ... I've seen my cousins twin and my niece found a pic of a model from the fifties that is dead ringer of myself. My best friends Mom was at a bar and saw her twin, She said they just stared at each other and she was so dumbfounded that she just got up and left the bar ! All True!
"So do us"??? And news flash, doppelgängers are always identical, that's what makes them doppelgängers.
Have had this experience myself (with a cutaway in a Weimar nightclub) in a Louise Brooks documentary. It's the freakiest.
Only a couple actually look like the art. All the rest are a stretch. Looking somewhat like a piece of art doesn't count.
Funny, I just read an article how people easily get tricked into thinking two strangers look similar just because they have a similar hairstyle. And bam - this article! Come on, in many cases, their faces aren't similar at all.
I'll take #8....and I don't mean the one hanging on the wall... :-))))))
It's strange that some people are actually preparing themselves to look like the paintings. It just removes all the spontaneity from this post. Sorry, made-up world, I'm like that.
Type-o in your first line, friend. Should be "so do we" not "so do us". And very cool post!
