It's no surprise since spotting movie blunders is entertainment in itself. In the world of movies, there's plenty of fun to be had, from spotting bloopers on screen to exploring exciting movie worlds. Whether you're a casual moviegoer or a big fan, there's something for everyone. Movies take us to different places, introduce us to interesting characters, and stir up all sorts of feelings. Whether it's thrilling action scenes, deep dramas, or hilarious comedies, movies let us forget our everyday worries and enjoy the creative ideas of storytellers.
They always do this... more so in TV shows and cartoons but it bugs me. Kid has pie all over face and hair is all effed up then the next scene they are completely clean and normal again. Usually in movies though they do try to make better attempts at continuity...not here obviously
Let us shift our focus to the broader cinematic landscape and explore how movies have transformed over time, reflecting shifts in technology, culture, and audience desires. Bored Panda contacted Dr. Michael W. Boyce, a professor of English and Film Studies at Booth University College in Winnipeg, Canada and a host of a podcast about fans and fan cultures “Geek 4” to learn more about movie trends.
We asked Boyce whether there are any significant trends or patterns in the movies that are popular with audiences today and how these trends have evolved over time. He shared that for the last decade or so, the predominant trend in cinema has been towards large franchise movies, like the Marvel and DC films. “They have a built-in audience, and, by sharing characters across titles (like Doctor Strange in Spider-man: No Way Home (2021), studios ‘direct’ audiences to come along for multiple films. People think they have to see all the films in a particular franchise because of shared characters and stories.”
looks the same... coincidence ... ? edit : at first, it was a joke, but the more I look at them, the more identical they are... another fake photo ?
Load More Replies...How interesting...same exact plane from the photoshopped Troy image shown above. Not real.
Some of the westerns from the 1940s and 1950s are rich with things like this. Cowboys wearing wristwatches, cars moving in the far background, that sort of thing.
And, we forgave them for this, in the interests of entertainment!
Load More Replies...actually i just watched that scene to check and I didn't see any plane
It would be impossible for professionals such as this movie's caliber would've missed that.
According to Boyce, the trend to create interconnected cinematic universes has become increasingly dominant and has been incredibly successful for studios. “But because of how expensive these films are to make, there has been a drastic decline in mid-priced films and fewer movies from genres like romantic comedies and dramas. Similarly, there are fewer original stories being produced and studios continue to prioritize sequels, remakes, and ‘reimaginings’ (like The Batman) of known movies. I don't see this changing,” the professor and podcast host noted.
They could do a whole post on "Cars that magically repair themselves during a movie". There are literally dozens, probably hundreds of scenes where cars ram each other or do a jump and practically bend in half on landing, then the next scene they're perfect. Hell you could probably do a whole post just on cars in the Fast & the Furious movies :P
Even as movies undergo a constant transformation, one thing remains consistent: the presence of movie mistakes or blunders. While some may find these slip-ups entertaining and enjoy the challenge of spotting them or nitpicking, others may simply view them as quirks of the cinematic experience. These errors add an interactive and playful dimension to our movie-watching experience, reminding us that, despite the thoroughly crafted worlds on screen, movies are ultimately a product of human creativity, and a touch of imperfection can make them all the more endearing.
Considering the other things they got wrong, this is pretty minor!
I feel like someone would notice oh s**t she’s wearing the other glove
Her acting REALLY bugged me a 1000 times more once she became a vampire
People must watch movies frame by frame. I’d never notice any of these watching normally 😊
When you watch a movie enough times, you start to notice these things. Others are just plan obvious.
Load More Replies...All of these are not "movie mistakes" per se, they are continuity errors. A "movie mistake" could also be a plot hole or historical/canon inaccuracies.
I agree. It bugs me that it's literally someone's job to ensure continuity

Huge mistakes ? 99.9999999999999999 % of people never noticed so who gives a f**k?
I stopped reading after like 4 out of the first 5 entries for "HUGE" mistakes were simple continuity errors.
Man ! All I want to know is, where do people get the time to watch movies so meticulously. I`ve seen most of these movies/shows, never noticed anything. ...guess I am the target audience :D
The movie back to the future was not on this list because it was perfect
In the 1990s-2000s I did flower arrangements for tv and movies, and our crew spent a good amount of time on continuity detail. Some flowers wilt quick under hot lights, others are photo-reactive and will bend toward light overnight. So on a multi day shoot we had to have photos of our arrangements to refer to, and extra flowers to replace wilted ones.
Ah dang it I was expecting this to include the replenishing toast in Nacho Libre. Honestly I feel like that might have been intentional though
Continuity errors are boring. They're also inevitable. Even if you notice them during the editing process, you frequently don't have enough alternate footage to prevent them.
Notice the movie back to the future was not on this list because it was perfect
One I've never seen anywhere: In Legends of the Fall, Brad Pitt takes a punch and as he goes down, you see a mouth full of fillings well before fillings were a thing.
One of my faves is Die Hard- Bruce Willis’ character is talking on a pay phone that clearly says it’s Pacific Bell, but the movie takes place in New York.
Maybe this one’s been talked about to death, but the Anaconda waterfall that is flowing upside down was always funny to me.
