Mountain Men Of Alaska Shows The Sensitive Side Of Alaska Men

My name is Kayce. I created Mountain Men of Alaska to show the humerous and sensitive side of the rugged Alaska men. When people think of Alaska men, most people have a picture in their head of a bearded flannel guy, chopping wood by his cabin (and that definitely exists up here) but I wanted to show that these guys, are also sensive, caring, and FUNNY! Each photoshoot is unique and challenging. Many models have risked their bodies to get a unique shot, such as: sitting in washtub filled with ice cold mountain spring water, having allergic reactions to moquitoes while posing in a swamp, crawling into a glacier fed river, and landing a bush plane in the middle of nowhere. This project has led me to use my creativity and humor, and meet some of my Alaskan heros, such as 2015 Yukon Quest Winner, Brent Sass. The people I meet inspire me to be a better version of myself, and often remain my friend, after the shoot is over.
