I often wonder why people get tattoos, whether large or tiny, and whether or not I know the person who has the said tattoo. It certainly takes a level of commitment and dedication that I find fascinating to put something on your body permanently, and endure what I assume must be a lot of discomfort. People often pay a lot of money for tattoos so I'm constantly tempted to ask, "What drove you to do that?"
Any body modification is fascinating... that's why I asked the members of the Bored Panda community to share theirs!

Load More Replies...I had Joaquin Phoenix added to my Joker leg sleeve last year - can't upload it to the main article romero-pho...cdf46d.jpg
i'm sorry for anyone who can't post their pictures.. i have no idea how to fix it.. :(
The way I describe it is this...The better it feels when a lover touches you there, the more its gonna hurt. Not 100% accurate, but close. Got one on my back over my shoulder blade and it felt like a mild abrasion. I was reading a book while it was done. Got one on my chest and it felt like a lit cigar held against me.
Load More Replies...I might get an industrial piercing this Summer! I can't right now because I have swim and it takes a few months to heal, so I have to be careful.
I've regarded the jackalope as a symbol of my freedom and taking charge of my own life. Since I didn't buy one last time I was at Wall Drug in S. Dakota I got a permanent one. IMG_2731-6...0c1d61.jpg
I don't know how to share pictures, but my latest (from a few years ago) tattoo is a sailboat that my grandparents owned (named the Galatea). I got it in honor of my Grandpa when he passed. It has the number "72" on it because they were married that long before he passed away and has his initials on the sail. When my Grandma passes, her initials will join his.
this post is still broken; many users, myself included, are trying to upload a picture and failing. can the author of the post please fix this?
I would but they won't let me put pictures of naughty bits on here.
