Artist Illustrates Daily Struggles And Life With Cats And A Kid In These 30 Comics (New Pics)
Being a girl in today's world is not easy and Hannah Hillam, a 32-year-old illustrator, knows this very well. If you're wondering what are the many challenges girls continually face, then you'll want to see what comes next, because you'll rarely see comics both so real, relatable and funny at the same time. Each comic realistically (and somewhat ironically) shows all the things that tend to happen in most of our everyday lives and, while the situations look simple, they definitely have a very real impact on our lives.
Also, let’s not forget the countless cat comics Hannah makes, so if you are not here to see real-life struggles made into comics, at the very least you will definitely enjoy some cat puns!
Hillam’s works have been featured on Bored Panda previously, and if you’d like to see some older comics, you can easily do so by clicking here and here.

Illustrator and cartoonist Hannah Hillam have been making comics for over 11 years now, slowly but surely over time the artist has gained over 787k followers on Instagram. Hannah began posting cartoons on her Instagram in 2014, but then did a daily comic in 2016 and that was probably the reason why she quickly started gaining popularity and then rapidly took off with her hilarious and relatable content.
Most of her cartoons could be described as a slice of life, and as of now, one of her main fortes is creating funny and surrealistic comics that surround cats and their behavior. Hillam has practically made it her mission to bring a smile to her readers' faces with her quirky comics, and the overwhelming support she has received over the years has only made her strive further.
In a recent interview with Forbes, Hillam discussed what inspires her, "Everyday life, living with mental illness, observing the world around me, my mood. I tend to be cynical, and getting my cynicism out on paper helps me put it in perspective. Or I’ll be walking and see a few birds screaming at each other outside and wonder what they’d say, and then go draw it."
me when i want to play pokemon go and then it rains (the only reason i would go outside or socialize)
"I also like to imagine alternate realities, like a world where cats keep humans as pets. Or what would food do if it lived like humans? Had a day job or had families. Would food eat itself if it were hungry? We’re technically edible but we don’t practice auto-cannibalism so maybe food wouldn’t either. But maybe it would? I like drawing stuff like that."

Ah, yes. Every time I have a good day, and I think, hey life is not that bad, an alarm sounds deep inside my brain. Those days usually end badly so it's like my brain is trying to warn me that life is not actually that good nor should one enjoy it. Can't tell if it's survival instinct or my brain being an ass.
Yeah, the "glow" was actually meant to be the higher sebum production in the skin of pregnant women, which causes an oilier surface and more light reflection, hence "glowing". None of that romanticised BS we are fed about how glorious, wonderful and precious pregnancy is. My fiance felt pretty bad in the last trimester, so she would often rumble how pregnancy propaganda gave her false expectations
