Employment Agencies are the worst offenders. The Company is paying them £12/15 per hour, per employee. The employee gets £8/9 and no job security.

As far as I am aware there is not such thing as a capitalist country or a socialistic country. Countries are a mix of those things. Infrastructure and public education are socialized. Health care should be. For-profit business are capitalism (except when they manage to take all the profits and transfer the risks to taxpayers, as the financial industry did before 2008).

Walmart employees are mostly on welfare and fed by the government. Transitively, Walmart is basically benefitting from welfare. A multi billion dollar company. F**k outta here.

In a best case scenario, WM might be paying about $2 above minimum, which is by no means a livable wage. And I worked for 7-11. I know how they pay, and how they treat employees. There is only so much room at the "top" for managers.

I have worked for Walmart and McDonalds. They are not good employers. They DO pay above minimum wage, just barely. They do not want you to get full hours, to avoid paying insurance and benefits; but they will fire you for taking a second job. Employees are penalized for working overtime, but forced to work overtime. They promise incentives that never materialized; you do not get the raises or positions they promise you. There is a penalty for everything you do and you are constantly threatened with termination for doing tasks that you were told to do.
