My Friend Makes Miniature Notebooks That You Can Wear As A Library Around Your Neck
My friend Margaux started making these little book necklaces with leftover bits of leather she’d reclaimed for other projects.
They are hand-bound, made from Victorian doctor bags, mid-century sofas, vintage wallets, and hand-torn Strathmore drawing paper. You can actually make tiny sketches in them, and carry them around wherever you go.

Share on FacebookThis reminds me of one of my favourite stories from Jorge Bucay. In short: there is a man, who comes to a cemetary. The dates on the gravestones suggest, that here only children lie. But another man tells him, that the people in that village believe, that only time spend happy is real lifetime. They write it down on little books carried around the neck.
Can you actually open them? If you can't, they're still just as amazing and beautiful!
You can! They are handstitched using strathmore drawing paper. Completely useable! Check out #pegandawlmini on IG for some really incredible artwork that has been done inside of them!
