Some of the most fascinating things in life hide behind mundanity. You’ll have to look a little closer to notice what makes them stand out, just like in the photos you’re about to see.
These snapshots come from the Mildly Interesting subreddit. All 24 million members share the same captivation over eye-catching things embedded within the humdrum of daily life. Here, people share pictures of random laser lights appearing in the night sky, square-shaped watermelons, and chia seeds sprouting from toothbrushes.
If reading that confused you, check out this list we’ve compiled to see for yourself. Scroll through and see if you find at least one that grabs your attention.

Owl was the sacred animal of the city of Athens, because it was associated with Athena, its patron goddess.
We all have tedious tasks that immediately bore us when they appear on our daily to-do list. However, as author and speaker Steve Pavlina points out, finding something interesting amidst mundanity is all about perspective.
Take your least favorite household chore. The mere thought of it likely drains your energy. But as Pavlina wrote in an article for his website, you can pair these activities with enjoyable activities, like listening to music or your favorite audiobook.

Pavlina noted that the slightest shift in approach toward a task or life itself can drastically change your perceptions. He pointed out that “it’s mainly a matter of being creative and thinking divergently.”
“If the standard approach is boring, reject the standard approach; otherwise, you’re being boring!” he wrote.

Life comes with dull moments, and there’s no escaping them. And if you accept such a reality, you may find something interesting in it, too. This is a perspective that writer and TV presenter Adrian Chiles follows.
In an article for The Guardian, Chiles noted how “embracing the boring” became his secret to happiness. He applies it to all facets of life, including personal and professional relationships and “affairs of the heart and wallet.”

The Monthly Dosage Of Medication Necessary For My Survival
Checked the OP, wanted to make sure they are okay. This is for cystic fibrosis, woud have been a death sentence not that long ago.
Grew up with a girl with cystic fibrosis. They told her that 30 pretty much was the longest she could expect to live. She is almost 60 now.
Load More Replies...I really hope that you will survive with joy in your heart, dear fellow panda... Lots of love
Most of those brands of d***s look like they are sold in Europe and some have Hungarian translation. So it does sound like OP is fortunate enough to not live in the USA
Load More Replies...I still remember the horse pills I had to take after my aneurysm. Two of them four times a day for three weeks, along with other medications. The pharmacist kept piling boxes upon boxes upon boxes up on the counter and I finally said, "We're gonna need a bigger boat." I'm so happy that's over and this person has all my sympathies. Edited to add because I just remembered, it was two pills every four hours, not four times a day. I try to forget that time.
Yeah, two types of insulin, metformin, two continuous glucose monitors, alcohol prep pads, lancets, and testing strips for backup are all I need for my diabetes. It would probably take me four months of that to even begin to approach the amount of prescriptions being shown here.
Load More Replies...Does anyone know how long this much medication will last? I'm hoping for 3 months at least. Glad OP is not in North America (as per other commenters).
Depending on mutation , there is a d**g, orkambi, that increases lung function by a point or two. Eight years ago, that was $27,000 per month.

My cousin died from cystic fibrosis when he was 21 (back in 1972), He was a senior in college and was engaged. His twin sister had died at 2 years old.. At the time, that was about as long as they lived. I guess he decided to go on with a regular life and hope for the best.
My fridge vegie drawer comes close with my 3 different insulins boxed up and some other meds for hubby....plus 12 more bottles in the bathroom for A.M. and P.M. between diabetes, and all the other c**p doctors force onto us from 40 yrs old to death......they're racking up lots-o-rewards points from the Big Pharma companies for sure !!! I FEEL THE PAIN!!
yep......that's the amazing part.....almost 100%.....
Load More Replies...I first thought it was for a day. If they are life-saving, then yes until something with less volume is possible, as it will one day. We are born into our own era as those before us who had less, and those ahead where most will have more answers to cure or prevent fragile health conditions..
Yes. When we complain about our odd aches and pains, we need to remember that there are many people out there that are far worse off.
So much of the meds seem to be in small packages. Why aren't there 100 of this with 1 a day or 300 of this every 8 hours?
Wow! That's a lot of medicine. In the UK that would cost around £10.
