Artist Creates Spectacular Folded Steel Animal Sculptures From Metal Sheets, Here Are His Best 49 Works
After seeing a faceted sculpture design made from folded paper one day, welder Andrei Kazantsev decided to try his hand at making his own sculptures using the material he works best with: folded steel.
Using a press that allows him to do precut shapes from sheet metal, he later folds them. Andrei manufactures parts for each of his sculptures, and later on he assembles them together into one piece. A final soldering phase allows his creations to take their final form.
All of his sculptures revolve around the same main idea—animals, whether it would be domesticated animals such as cats and dogs, or wild animals such as rhinos, eagles, etc.
Due to the positive public response and wide sales success of his sculptures, Kazantsev was able to quit his day job to focus on making more metallic mammals.

This is a rip off of Le Penseur by Auguste Rodin...not cool...think up your own sruff dude.
This is actually a good idea, it’s way better than putting a real animal head on your wall.
The dogs in particular seem to have the artist's heart. They're noble, humorous, and stalwart. Andrei has a real gift.
