People Are Posting Memes And Jokes In Response To Meghan And Harry’s Interview, And Here Are The 50 Best Ones
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s emotional interview with Oprah Winfrey has caught everyone’s attention and stunned viewers with the bombshell revelations about the British Royal Family, ranging from mental health issues to accusations of racism against their son, Archie.
The interview has also further polarized both the supporters and ‘haters’ of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex. So much so that the internet is chock full of passionate comments praising and denouncing the 2-hour special. Some have been sharing their views in an easily-digestible format that the internet is more used to—short reactions and memes.
Bored Panda has collected some of the most interesting reactions for you to look through, dear Readers. Make sure you upvote the ones you agree with as you scroll down. And we know that the topic is sensitive, dear Pandas, so remember to be civil to those that share a different point of view than yours in the comments.
Mike Sington, an LA-based entertainment and celebrity expert, told Bored Panda that Prince Harry and Meghan will be even more welcome in the United States now that the interview has aired. "The interview made them ‘real people’, which allowed us to see their vulnerabilities. Your heart couldn’t help but break for them. And Meghan is an American, so for her, she’s returning home."

Truthfully, this needs to be much higher, BP. He's a flipping pedo, ffs.
In Mike's opinion, the interview might help Harry mend his relationship with his father and brother. "If they watched it, they’ll see what he went through, and everything will make more sense. Also, you could see the hurt Harry felt when he spoke about his father and brother. In fact, I wouldn’t be surprised if they reached out to him as a result of the interview."
The expert also addressed some people's criticism that Harry and Meghan have nothing to complain about. "The ‘you can’t complain because your rich’ complaint is common, and old, and needs to be retired. Rich people can suffer from mental issues, racism, and family and work problems as much as anyone. I didn’t see Harry and Meghan as complaining at all, I saw them as two real people telling their story. A story, by the way, we the audience wanted to hear. Especially evident if you look at the massive worldwide viewership of the interview."
Among some of the shocking revelations was Meghan opening up about how she contemplated suicide and how she allegedly received no help from Buckingham Palace. She felt alone, isolated, and hounded by the press.
Meanwhile, she also said that an unknown member of the Royal Family (though definitely not the Queen or the Duke of Edinburgh) raised concerns about Archie’s skin color.
In Harry’s opinion, both his brother and father were “trapped within the system” of Buckingham Palace. His father also allegedly hasn’t been answering his calls since early 2020 when Harry was financially cut off. However, despite the hardships, Prince Harry wants to mend his relationship with his family. The one piece of good news that brightened up an otherwise candid but emotionally-draining spectacle was that Archie will have a baby sister, due in the summer.
Idyllic, but I get the point. Hard to feel sorry for sad rich-as-fawk people.
Blood is thicker than water, or in their terms a pedophile trumps a black woman.
Harry and Meghan shared with Oprah that they had a private marriage ceremony in their “backyard” just three days before their public wedding in May 2018. The private ceremony was led by none other than the Archbishop of Canterbury.
In an earlier interview with Bored Panda, Mike Sington, who is known as Hollywood’s Ultimate Insider, shared his insights about what happened, what comes next, and whether there’s any chance to unify the extremely polarized camps.
Archie wouldn't be a Prince regardless of his skin colour. Only William has children who are granted Prince/Princess status. Princesses Eugenie has a son, it too is not a Prince. Racism has nothing to do with the title.
Calling the couple’s interview with Oprah “stunning, shocking, raw, candid, and even heart-breaking,” Mike said that there were plenty of shocking revelations. Chief among them was the claim that “there were concerns within the palace about how dark Archie’s skin would be.” He added that this is a revelation that he has a hard time getting past.
In Mike’s mind, there’s no doubt that the Royal Family will respond because the fallout from the interview is going to be “intense” and far-reaching. “They were basically accused of causing mental health issues, racism, loneliness, suicidal thoughts, and security and safety concerns," the celeb expert pointed out to Bored Panda.
Mike is aware that there are two sides to each and every story, but he believes that the interview will get more support for Harry and Meghan than the opposite. “The public was yearning to know ‘what happened?’ Well now we know, and the reasons for why they fled make much more sense. They literally fled to save their lives,” he shared.
Yeah I was like: he ain't gonna tell you, he was born into keeping secrets
However, the topic is extremely polarizing. Mike doesn’t believe that Harry and Meghan’s supporters and haters will come together and call for a ceasefire. (You only have to take a look at the comments on pretty much any British or American online news outlet’s articles about the interview and you’ll see just how heated things can get.)
“The two camps have dug in and dug in hard. The interview will only serve to polarize the two camps more, and I already see it’s being amplified more and more on social media right now," the expert explained to Bored Panda.
Exactly why he’s in his 70’s, and dear old mum refuses to die just so he won’t get the crown.
However, Mike hopes that the interview will make some things clearer to the Duke and Duchess’ critics. "I’m only hoping the interview will bring some understanding to the haters who didn’t understand why they ‘turned their back’ on the Royal Family. I would think anyone with any compassion would have a better understanding of what they went through, and the motives of love and survival shouldn’t be questioned."
The polarization is deep indeed. One side, which includes celebrities like model Chrissy Teigen and Meghan’s on-screen husband Patrick J. Adams (you might know him better as Mike Ross from the hit TV show ‘Suits’), has stepped in to show support for the couple and has lobbed criticism at the Royal Family.
The other side, including the very same British tabloids that Harry and Meghan have accused of racism and forcing them to leave the UK, believes that the interview was ‘self-serving’ and a way to curate their public image to their advantage. In their opinion, the couple isn’t being genuine and chiefly has financial concerns on their mind. What’s more, some critics think that just because the couple is wealthy (despite being cut off by the Palace), they have no reason to complain about mental health or other issues.
Great grandchildren dont get prince or princess titles by birth, only children and grandchildren of the reigning monrch. This is just how succession works in the UK since the 1700s. Once Charles becomes king then Archie will be a grandchild of a monarch and would then be a prince. The only reason why George and Charlotte have titles is due to special request from the Queen as William is a future king. No other royal grandchild has prince or princess titles. I find it odd Harry didn't bring that up. The Queen did offer Megan and Harry the title of viscount when he was born but they refused stating they didn't want him to have a title. Other than that archie will inherit the title of Earl of Dumbarton on harrys passing. As for camilla, well she is the wife of the next in line to the throne.
I’ve spent enough time around Americans online to know that Megyn Kelly is a nasty piece of work. She was a host on Fox News (aka the Loony, Bigoted Far Right Americans Channel) from 2004 to 2017 and uses words like “wokesters” unironically. This isn’t a hot take; this is someone who doesn’t like it when a mixed person calls out racism.
But what do you think, dear Pandas? Which side of the fence are you on? How do you think the Royal Family will respond to the interview having been aired in the US on Sunday and in the UK on Monday? Share your thoughts below.
It’s not the Queen though. Both Harry and Meghan get on well with the Queen as mentioned in the interview. It is the whole institution that is the problem, which is not just one person.
Hmm. I’m not convinced that a nation that had Donald Trump as president is really in a position to comment on the heads of other countries.
you dont see the irony here? EXPOSED by ACTRESS. Jussie Smollet watching like U GO GIRL"!
Ha! I got Harry beat. My deadbeat father stopped taking my calls when I was 8 years old!
I don't understand why everyone automatically believes whatever these two say in an interview. Because they came and spoke against the Royal Family so therefore it must be true? I also hate how everyone wants to drag Prince Andrew into all of this. Yes, the Royal Family have been silent about allegations against him, but they have also been silent about Harry and Meghan. They have not made any public comments about them. Harry and Meghan are the ones holding interviews with the media and releasing public statements. The whole thing about Archie not receiving the title of Prince being against protocol is completely untrue. Archie's father is 6th in line to the throne. Archie is not owed the title of a Prince. Extended Royal Family members are also not entitled to security. They left the Royal Family to live the life they wanted. They could live peacefully and securely in private. But no, they just can't help themselves and choose to throw themselves and their children into the limelight again. I'm so sick of seeing these two. There are so much more important things going on in the world.
Finally, some sense! I certainly do not wish H&M inc or any of their children any malice nor ill will but I am really tired of the "we want to live a private life" comments and yet almost every day there is another cause for herself to be in the media. I do not doubt that she has experienced hardship but when it comes to other women having the tragegdy of miscarriage, so has she. Mental health issues, oh, that too, experienced racism, yes, she has but it appears to be anything that keeps her in the spotlight, ironically. That is not how you lead a private existence. As for Harry, I really feel sorry for him. He lost his mother at a very young age, no child should experience that but the grown man is being led by the nose. I wish them a peacful life but I don't think they will have one, Mevhan will be sure of that.

In some ways, I feel sorry for Meghan, because being an American and a woman of color, joining the royal family must have been a culture shock. But ultimately, H&M left the family, left the job and left the country, while complaining about no longer being paid, trying to use royal titles to start up their own business, and wanting more privacy, and yet here they are, in an Oprah interview, surely the least private and most media thing anyone can do.
Not to mention royals are not allowed to make money off their titles, yet these two launched "Sussex Royal" branded merchandise while shirking their duties, among other things. Now they're complaining because the Queen put her foot down and said "you're either all in and follow protocol or you leave the job and give up the perks". I don't feel sorry for them at all.
