Mailman Builds A Ramp So His Old Dog Friend Could Still Greet Him When He Comes
Jeff Kramer, a USPS employee, recently built a dog ramp, in order make sure a senior black Lab Tashi could still greet him when the mailman visited.
Kramer noticed that at 14 years old, it became difficult for the doggie to walk. “We were literally carrying him up and down the stairs,” said the dog’s owner Karen Dimetrosky. “And he weighs about 70 pounds.”
One day the mailman simply showed up on his day off and put the ramp in place. “He’s just amazing… We’ve had the ramp for a few months and he’s saved us.”
The humble mailman commented: “Hopefully he’ll live a little longer. He’s still happy. That’s what we want. We want a happy animal,” said Kramer. He added, with a smile on his face: “Yeah, a mailman who likes dogs. Go figure.”
