I would love this if it had a washable/durable cover. I have a large dog . Dogs get dirty and smelly at times- oohhh- rolling on a dead fish it heaven- NOT!! Bedding gets washed weekly.Leather would not stop odors. Our late Great Dane had a bed made from a crib mattress.

Canines actually prefer a solid surface to lay on that is soft. It provides them with a sense of stability and security when resting. (Hence them digging holes or circling and preparing a nest in the wild to do the same thing)

You'd have to be a complete moron to buy one of those for a cat. Every cat I've ever known (and there have been a lot) would take one look at that thing, give it a good scratch, then find a sunny spot on the floor.
