Do you know what your love language is?

Love languages are all anyone talks about these days. There are 5 distinct love languages: words of affirmation, quality time, physical touch, receiving gifts, and acts of service. You can have one or more love languages, but this quiz will show you your dominant one. It is said that understanding your or your close ones’ love languages can be helpful to better understand yourself and those around you. It could also help to detect problems early on, as well as solve them more smoothly. You might feel close to a few answers at the same time, but you can only choose the one that you feel the closest to so the quiz can reveal your dominant love language.

Especially question No. 10: "How do you react when you and your partner/friend have a conflict?" where all answers are "I stop doing stuff" makes me think that whoever created this dumb test never experienced a long time relationship ... But I thought it was very funny that you cannot answer "Yes" to the question "Would you be bothered if your partner didn’t get involved in the chores?"

I noticed that about the chores question, too. I would have selected, "yes I would be bothered" if that were an option.

Acts of Service. Huh, kinda true but then again action does speak louder than words XP

Me too! but I 100% did not need this test to tell me that because I already know that I show my affection for people by doing things. Writing notes are nice, kind words are nice, but in the end, actions speak louder than words. It's like, Valentine's Day or mother's Day... I absolutely do not want a 5-minute commitment of your going to the store, picking up a pre-made card, a box of chocolates and a poke of flowers that are all right by the front register and then, there you go. That means zero to me... How about you help me with chores, how about you show me that you care about me that you're thinking about me, that you value me, throughout the year, not just on one day. There are so many ways to show people that you're thinking about them, that you care about them through some sort of action. Although I guess some people don't care about that as much as they care about a gift, or words. Because we all have different ways of communicating and different values.

Being surprised by nice jests. What does that mean? Jests like a jester would do, suddenly juggling and telling jokes?

I wondered too. I'm pretty sure they meant to say "nice gestures". Because later on they use the term "smth" and I think they mean something. They're just using short forms. Which are annoying. Or maybe they're "anyg"

Once again they muddled up the love language I need to hear and the love language I easily speak. They are often NOT the same.

Wasn’t the idea of “love languages” started by some creepy preacher that used them to convince women to have sex with their partners more?
