Artist Creates Adorable And Sweet Illustrations Inspired By Random Things (40 New Pics)
Interview With ArtistLogos are usually very simple illustrations showing what the company, person, or the product is all about. Logo designer Alfrey Davilla puts his skills to the test by creating logos from random photos, animal pictures, items, and all sorts of things. The artist makes adorable little illustrations that would be perfect logos because of how simple and eye-catching they are. His usual artwork includes silly animal photos, so not only are they cute, the illustrations are quite humorous too.
Alfrey told Bored Panda: "My name is Alfrey Davilla, I have been a logo designer and illustrator for more than ten years. Since I was a child, I have always liked drawing, but only do simple illustrations. I always want to make illustrations that are geometric and good in small sizes. Also, I like creating something that can make people smile. For inspiration, I love reading Japanese manga (comics), watching Disney movies, and seeing other online portfolios from different artists around the world." Alfrey Davilla manages to create adorable little illustrations inspired by just an image he finds on the internet. The artist is great at creating logos and it shows. To some, it's very difficult to create a simple and recognizable logo, but Alfrey does it perfectly.
"I'm a husband and father of one child. I'm living in Indonesia. When I was young, my drawing skills were really bad and sometimes people didn’t understand it. While my other illustrator friends improved their skills, creating more complex and detailed illustrations, I stuck to a simple illustration style because I couldn't draw like them. I turned my weakness into a strength. I realized it especially when I joined Dribbble and saw the great reactions from the community."
There's no arguing that what Alfrey creates is absolutely adorable. The artist loves taking animal pics and just cartoonifying them. It's very interesting to see, especially when he takes two things and combines them. It really shows what a creative and fun mind Alfrey has.
In the original picture we can see the new yoga pose: "The Melting Dog", inspired by "The Persistence of Memory" (there are both dog and cat versions of the painting out there; internet is fun) persistenc...64dee5.jpg
We asked Alfrey what the main goal of his art is and how he got into it: "I like to create art that is fun, playful, and can make people smile. Since I was a child, I have always liked drawing. That's why I chose Communication Visual Design as my major at college. After graduating with a bachelor of visual communication, I started my creative journey as a graphic designer who had worked at an agency for about 5 years and then tried to be a freelance logo designer. Today, I'm a full-time freelancer, and I enjoy my job because I can set my own schedule and work anywhere anytime."
Alfrey's main goal is to make people smile. He tries to brighten people's moods with his sweet and cute illustrations. Alfrey has been creating art for 10 whole years and his experience shows. He is inspired by pop culture, Disney, manga and anime.
"I think the most difficult part is the sketching process. I always start everything with pencil sketches to get some ideas based on the client’s brief. This is the longest part but the most fun for me."
"I like vibrant color combinations that are bright and stand out to the audience, but of course, the use of colors is sometimes depending on what clients' needs. My art style is clean, simple, using flat colors, playful, and cute."
The blissfulness in both of the faces, the girl's and the horse's! So heartwarming!
"I started my freelance journey as a logo designer in 2010 and learned to create simple illustrations based on my expertise and experience as a logo designer. In 2016, I posted my work on Dribbble and got a lot of praise and appreciation for it. I realized that those simple illustrations can be my specialty. I'm going to continue doing this until I die because I love it, haha."
We asked Alfrey what inspires him to keep moving forward: "People. Specifically, my clients who trust me, use my work for their brands, and my followers who love my work and always support me."
Here's advice the artist would give to give people who want to create art themselves: "I think the most important thing is to have your own unique style because when you do, you will be an expert in this area."
The original is even more cartoon-ish than the Cartoon, because of its long ears and tail.
"Being featured on Bored Panda before helped me out. I gained more credibility from prospective clients and it's great to be more well-known by other artists around the world. To all the artists out there: keep doing what you love, be confident with your artwork, and never stop learning."

I once saw a white Bishon get into a picnic accident, he managed to roll in salad and beetroot, he turned out a beautiful Pink shade that had to wear off as it wouldn;t wash off.

I was going to say I need these on t-shirts - then read your comment and realized I was opening THAT door. And this is why I can’t have a pair of jeans with that duckie on the pocket. 🤬
