During the pandemic, we’ve been reminded of the power and importance of the arts. Bringing people together, inspiring, mesmerizing and enlightening: these are the powers of art. In Rockland County and its surrounding areas there is an abundance of talented artists and performers. The annual Rockland Arts Festival gives artists working in a variety of media the opportunity to display and sell their artwork while connecting directly with the community.
This year, the festival honors 130 talented local artists, offers 8 free virtual arts events and an in-person arts celebration. The free live virtual events include art demonstrations, music concerts, studio tours and arts enrichment program, plus an in-person arts celebration on February 5th at the Palisade Center in West Nyack, New York.
With the festival’s strong emphasis on making the arts accessible for all, it brings together the best local artists and performers in an interactive and festive environment for all ages. All guests are encouraged to explore the diversity of 130 artists on the festival’s website and enjoy what it means to be creative, to voice and express through the hands of many artistic perspectives. Let the arts have a profound and indispensable impact on our lives and support a vital part of culture.
The Rockland Arts Festival has been made possible due to the outstanding efforts from the coordinators, Lisa D’Amico, Aviva Sakolsky and Michael Craft. For information please visit, www.rocklandartsfestival.org.
