What horrible boys. I am so happy the librarian took action. It's hard to believe that kids find this funny to do. At least now they're paying with that on their school records.

To Hans- yes, the mother didn't trust her, but she's not a loser for that! Do you know how many parents EXCUSE their kids for misbehaving and claim "my angel didn't do it, they told me!". But the girl sounds like she's a good child, so that was a mistake on the mom's part. And, I'm sorry, a "Children prank"?? Would you classify the elementary school incident when my [twin] brother was doing an assignment with two boys who wrote "[my brother's name] raped [my name]" on his Powerpoint as a "children prank"? "It was just a joke" is the most frequent excuse for bullying.

Ahh yes....My friends always laugh about how "I'm the only kid at school who the librarians know my name", lol. I'll never be ashamed for my love of books! XD

Glad that this story has a happy ending, justice was served and the victim was recognised. But yeah, hope she will be more careful from now on. Log out of your personal accounts on public computers as soon as you leave your spot, even if for just 1 single minute. You never know if and what kind of trolls are out there waiting for the chance to make their move. Or set a temporary password for the computer you're using, and remember to delete it when you're done. Locking your computer screen is rule n.1 of information security.

I agree. I remember when I was at school 14 years ago and every time someone forgot to log out from a public computer some other people always trolled their accounts. I also have to admit that once I saw a girl who had said nasty things to me to leave her e-mail inbox open so I just quickly emptied and deleted all her mail as a revenge. That was stupid but at least it was an important lesson for everyone about online safety.
