Michael William Sellers, a father of four, died in 2013 from pancreatic cancer, but he thought ahead when it came to his youngest daughter. Before he passed away, Bailey’s dad pre-paid for a floral arrangement to arrive on her birthday each year, up until she turned 21. This year, she turned 21.
“Ever since my dad passed away I’ve hated my birthday and I dread it every year because he always made it so special,” the student from Knoxville, Tennessee told the New York Post. “I was especially dreading my 21st because I knew it would be the last year.”
Attached to the flowers, Bailey found a handwritten love letter from her dad. “I broke down. That letter was very very awesome and sad all at the same time.” To honor her father’s bittersweet gesture, she uploaded his last gift to Twitter where it was retweeted over 350K times and liked by nearly 1,5M people. Scroll down to read what words Michael chose to leave his daughter with.

Such a beautiful thing for a parent to do for their child in their last days. Kudos to the flower shop that kept the handwritten note for so many years
For about a year when I was little, my dad would hand write a little note everyday in a notebook along with my schedule for that day. He died when I was 8. I forgot all about the notebook. I found it last year and read thru all of the little notes. I keep it in my nightstand and read a diffrent note every night. It's been 10 years since he died and I find it hard to remember who he was, but I still have the notes. I don't think he ever realised how much I'd treasure a few little notes that he wrote before work everyday.
This is so sad, yet so beautiful that I teared up instantly. This proves that love can still exist in the world, no matter how hard it gets. Beautiful. Absolutely beautiful.
