It's easy to think of famous people as somehow immortal, but beneath the fame and the glamour, they're just as human as the rest of us. They might live in a different world than most, but they all go to the same place as everybody else when the time comes. In homage to these music, film, and sports icons, Bored Panda has compiled this list of the famous last photos taken of many of the most beloved people who have ever lived. Freddie Mercury, 45, 1946-1991
This is one of the last photos of the lead singer of Queen, taken in 1991. Until the very end, Freddie denied rumours about having AIDS, preferring to avoid the inevitable media circus and concentrate on his career as best he could. The day before his death he released the following statement :
"Following the enormous conjecture in the press over the last two weeks, I wish to confirm that I have been tested HIV positive and have AIDS. I felt it correct to keep this information private to date to protect the privacy of those around me. However, the time has come now for my friends and fans around the world to know the truth and I hope that everyone will join with me, my doctors and all those worldwide in the fight against this terrible disease. My privacy has always been very special to me and I am famous for my lack of interviews. Please understand this policy will continue."
Less than 24 hours later he died from bronchopneumonia, that was brought on by having AIDS. (Source: Ultimate Classic Rock)
My 14 year old asked me yesterday what musical artist I'd bring back from the dead to perform one more time so I could see them and Freddie was tied for number one.
I've been a Queen fan since the 70s and there's no one out there that can fill Freddie's shoes.
Freddie is my hero and idol and inspiration. taken too soon see you in heaven,Mr.Fahrenheit
Wow i remember reading about his death in the newspaper, so long ago now.
Freddie had a classically trained voice that was incredible. Along with being a fabulous showman, he seemed to have it all. So sad that the truth was so sad, with the awful stigma of HIV and the death sentence that was AIDS at that time, it broke my heart. He can never be replaced, nor forgotten. RIP, Freddie.
He was stalked by paparazzi before his death, it was terrible. Godspeed.
God bless him, he didn't use the press like a prostitute. Great talent.
Freddy thank you so much for the chat the champange that you sent to the security guards and the pepsi and lol when you shouted darlings lol God bless
And if this had happened just a few years later, it wouldn’t have been a death sentence.
unfortunately I knew the muscle of the queens too late to be able to see one of their live concert, when Freddy died I missed the occasion to be able to appreciate live his wonderful voice, and his incredible charisma. but he remains the greatness of his art, and his is one of those losses that arouse the world a little more.

Was lucky enough to see him in concert, in an intimate concert, at a vineyard in Australia, and again, in concert at a bigger arena. Having never listened to his work before, I was truly naive to his work. And I can tell you - he was *truly* charasmatic. Only he, could make "I'm your man" sound sexy. "Ah, but a man never got a woman back Not by begging on his knees Or I'd crawl to you baby and I'd fall at your feet And I'd howl at your beauty like a dog in heat" A divine talent, truly missed. Am so glad I was lucky enough to become a fan.

I remember seeing the actor Christopher Lee just before he passed. At first I barely recognised him....until he spoke. His voice, even at the end, still commanded everyone's attention in the room and was so recognisable from the hundreds of films he had been in
It says Paul Walker's porsche accident was due to the age of the tires and speed. They forgot about the negligence of the driver going 90+ in a 35MPH zone.
This is believed to be the last photo ever taken of folk singer, Jim Croce. On September, 20th, 1973, he finished a concert at Northwestern State University in Natchitoches, Louisiana. Just an hour after the concert finished, he and 5 others were on their way to a show in Texas by plane...... But the plane crashed shorty after take off. Croce and 6 others were killed instantly. jim-croce-...01bbf3.jpg
Poor Robin Williams! He had made us laugh but none of us realised that deep down he had been crying.
I don't understand the inclusion of Castro, Hitler, and Lenin. Their classification as 'celebrities' is really off. These men were villainous and evil and caused great pain and suffering in their reigns as 'leaders'.
This is so damn sad. I missed so, so many of them. It's weird how celebrities become an integral part of your life that you identify with without knowing it. Watching their shows or hearing their music bring forth poignant feelings.
so sad people like these drug people who kill themselves in the end ...
Load More Replies...It saddens me that they put a pedophile in this category. He should be black listed and shamed. Its not sad. Im positive micheal Jackson changed the lives of many. Unfortunately for the many boys not for the better.
