Cruel Owner Leads Tail-Wagging Senior Labrador Into The Woods, Abandons Him, And Drives Off In Her Tesla

“This is what a dog that has just been abandoned looks like,” wrote the animal shelter I Paw’d It Forward from SW Washington in a caption on Facebook two days ago. The video footage showed a Tesla car pull up on the side of a freeway with an excited Labrador getting out, ready for a stroll in the park. As the happy boy is wagging his tail, the owner seems to lure him into the wooded area before she jumps back in the car and speeds off.
Watching the cruel scene has made many people on social media tearful, but luckily, the boy was rescued and well cared for by the staff at I Paw’d It Forward. The non-profit reminds everyone that this case is a constant reminder not to stay indifferent and follow their motto: “If you see something, say something.”
Bored Panda reached out to Brandon Price, a man from Vancouver, Washington whose security cameras recorded this disturbing incident. “We have seen a lot of things on our cameras, and this is something we never expected to see. Nor ever wanted to see,” said Brandon in an interview that you can check out in full down below.

The animal shelter in SW Washington first announced the news on their Facebook page and left everyone tearful
Brandon told us that his girlfriend called her friend to come help her get the abandoned dog, whose name is Henry. “After they got him, they contacted I Paw’d It Forward animal shelter to come to get him and take him to the humane society.”
The couple then posted the footage recorded on their security camera on Facebook. “Little did we know it would be going viral worldwide,” Brandon said.
“We were both in complete shock when it happened. We own the whole cul-de-sac and have had some issues with people in the past. That’s why we installed the camera,” Brandon explained. But this is something they never expected, or ever wanted, to see.

She then suddenly turns around, runs to the car, and speeds off, leaving the dog behind
Brandon said he can see why someone might not expect such a cruel act from someone who drives a Tesla, “but honestly, over the years, I have learned to never judge a book by its cover.” He also added that we all should be aware there are “some ugly people out there.”

Brandon would like to thank everyone who shared the video and helped to identify the woman in less than 48 hours, which he believes is “crazy fast.”
The footage has showed that these cruel incidents happen daily. “We are showing people that someone will take their family dog of 13 years, drop him in some random area, and drive off like its nothing. Its insane.”
The shelter has since posted another entry on this incident, asking everyone to be more humane towards their pets
Fortunately, the sweet boy is safe and well cared for by the shelter’s staff while an investigation is taking place

“There are numerous things this lady could have done. Hell, she could have just knocked on our door and left him,” Brandon said and promised there will be a happy ending to this story. “I can’t just let this story end here,” he concluded.
Follow the updates on the sweet Labrador Henry on Brandon’s Facebook profile. He is also raising donations for the I Paw’d It Forward animal shelter, which has helped to rescue Henry and continues to do so for many unfortunate animals betrayed by society.

Don’t forget about taking her to a very remote wooded area, tricking her into thinking you’re going on a walk, then running back to your car and leaving her behind, with no supplies and not knowing where she is or how to survive. Maybe a hard lesson like that will drive the point home that what she did is cruel and abusive. (Probably not, but the justice of it will feel good.) I have an 18 year old cat, who has been a part of our family since he was 9 weeks old. Bazzy gets to have all the treats he wants (even though he’s really good about eating his senior cat food), sleep all he wants anywhere he wants even if it means we constantly have to step over or around him, and get all the love and cuddles he wants. He’s the equivalent of a man in his nineties, so does not have the stamina to survive on the streets or in the woods. The thought of doing something like that to him has never even crossed our minds, because we love him so much and cherish what time we have left with him. You know, like anyone who’s a true mensch, and not a callous a*****e, would do. (PS—-I looked it up. 13 for a Lab is like 85 for a human. So this biatch abandoned an 85 year old in the woods.)

I don´t understand this, my heart doesn't understand this... why would you do that to any good boy but especially to 13 years old good boy. In that age - they need you the most. According to the local news she was found and cited for animal cruelty. Clark County Animal Protection & Control said the woman officially surrendered her 13-year-old lab named Henry to its care.

This cold-hearted moron needs to be punished. Taking care of old dogs is hard. I have an old Australian Shepherd and it's a lot of work to take care of him. He's deaf and sort of blind, hard to walk up and down the stairs. We love him to death and wouldn't abandon him like this. We carry him up and down the stairs and bought a stair lift for him. Dogs spend their whole lives making us happy and love us unconditionally. Don't abandon them when they need us the most.

This broke my heart. Here is a picture of my old senior yellow lab, who unfortunately is no longer with us, but because he lived a great 14 years. Towards the end, the poor guy couldn't hold his bowels. But you know what? I cleaned it up every day, because he wasn't in pain, and I owed it to him for the joy he brought to my life. I really wish I hadn't seen this at the end of an already depressing evening. It just breaks my heart. Our dogs give us so much unconditional love, so much devotion. I can just about fathom how someone who is broke and desperate and just can't care for their dog, leaves it in front of a shelter, but THIS? I hope the owners are punished visciously by Karma. Honestly, I seldom feel like this, but I really want them to perish.

I can't stand it when people do this to their pets. This poor dog thought they were about to have fun in the park together and then she drives away from him. If a person doesn't want their pet anymore they need to take them to a shelter and stop this leaving them on the side of road business.

I ******* hate these kind of people, with all my heart I hate this person. Abandoned the dog like trash. How could you do this and not feel like the worst piece of human in the world? How could she not realize her cruel and horrible act and grew a small heart and get the dog back? Tesla was designed to have awful people buy expensive cars so cheaper cars could be designed and made with the profits and/or to pose an actual commercial threat to other companies so they would start developing electric cars. He was rescued and it looks like currently he is staying at the rescue place (not yet available for adoption). They tracked down the human and she has surrendered him. Good boy's name is Henry. Hope this helps.

Why not bring the dog to a shelter? It would have been closer, no? She should be banned from owning pets in future and she should have to pay all the vet bills for the dog til he dies, not to mention the coats for the rescue home.

just reading the story made me physically ill - i kid you not! how a person can do such a terrible thing is beyond me. there are other options but to take a dog to an isolated place with no reasonable way to survive is beyond cruel and heartless. hope they find her. hope they prosecute her. hope that someone will adopt this boy as soon as he is able to go to a forever home. i am in wisconsin and i would take him if possible but i am sure that there are may others in the local area that are waiting for their chance to adopt him and give him the best life he could have. if this woman did this to him what other careless treatment has he been subjected to?

This poor doggo deserves better! It breaks my haert to know people would even think of doing this (people also do this to bunnies, after they buy one as a "cute" easter present, and then discover they live for up to 14 years and don't survive off pellets, carrots, and lettuce.)

This breaks my heart. I just had to put down my dog of 12 years and I would NEVER have imagined just leaving him (or any other dog/animal) in the woods like that. Nothing any of us can write can express the horror of this situation. Of course we all want her caught and executed but, clearly that will have no impact on her. When she’s outed she will feign remorse and tell some sob story to try and explain her heartlessness but the only truth is that she has no soul, no heart and no right to live among us. I am disgusted by these kind of people ... dogs, especially, imprint on their owners to a huge extent, and while to these human rejects the dog may not hold that much importance, but as a dog-owner you are responsible for a living creature's well-being, one who looks up to you as it's whole world and being - it just breaks my heart to see anyone abandoning a pet in such a so cruel and vile way, I just hope this garbage is prosecuted to the full extent of the law

This is why I now have a small private shelter/sanctuary. Our county has no public shelter. I live out in the woods on acreage. For years, people would drive out here with their cats or dogs they no longer wanted, dump them and take off. These were usually older animals, and often with a chronic health condition that needed treating. Your cat or dog, even a young, healthy one, is not going to survive long in these woods and is going to die a horrible death because we have coyotes, bobcats, eagles, and foxes here, always looking for a meal. People have even dumped off chickens and ducks! I rescue them if I can find them in time. Cats and dogs are amazing -- even with the betrayal, they learn to trust and love again. But some humans really suck!

The headline revealed all I needed to know, I couldn't read the article or view the footage for fear of seeing the eventual heartbreak in this dog's eyes when he realized someone he likely would have died for, just abandoned him entirely. What is wrong with this woman to be so depraved and detached from humanity that she would intentionally leave this intelligent and caring pet to a slow death by starvation, exposure, or eaten alive by predators in the wild, without so much as an afterthought? No earthly punishment for her or those like her would ever be sufficient, and may there be a special place in Hades waiting for her.

This happens far too often. Better this, though, than having Henry killed at the veterinarian. If she has children, they have learned a lesson that they won't forget. She probably told them Henry had died.

From all appearances she looks like she could be one of the botox contingent. Some research shows that when facial expressions are affected by botox, the actual ability to feel emotions is impaired. People who treat animals badly need to have the same thing done to them. Take them out into the middle of nowhere and leave them with nothing. Or chain them in the yard with a log chain with no shelter, food or water like we see done by so many. They need to learn how cruel it really is.

She should be found and fined at the very least. We get senior dogs and cats at our shelter all the time. I sometimes wonder why people surrender them, but I do understand that sometimes they can't handle the medical expenses. Still....but I try not to be judgmental and give the animals all the love and care I can when I'm there. Right now it's a 20 year old diabetic cat, and a 10 year old abandoned mastiff mix who loves everyone and who we all adore and fight over who's going to walk. Je probably gets walked more now than he ever did when he was somebody's.

This is heartbreaking. I just recently had to put down my sweet Molly, a lab. She was my bestfriend and being disabled now, she was truly my companion. I loved her so much that I cannot believe that someone would do this. I would have taken this dog. I cannot afford another lab and to think one was just left with no one left to love him. I am glad that this had a good result but remember there are those of us who would just love to have another dog to be their companion in this life.

We just lost our beautiful 14 yr. old Lab 2 weeks ago. We were devastated. I am still grieving. I could not even imagine abandoning him. He is a part of me just like my human family. He was there when I couldn't couldnt get off of the floor when my back went out, he sat with me then when I was ready he stood and helped me get up. There were countless times he helped me and I loved him right back. My grandchildren grew up climbing all over him and he would just love them back. How dare her!! It just breaks my heart. I know he will find a loving forever home to love on him for the rest of his days.

Don’t forget about taking her to a very remote wooded area, tricking her into thinking you’re going on a walk, then running back to your car and leaving her behind, with no supplies and not knowing where she is or how to survive. Maybe a hard lesson like that will drive the point home that what she did is cruel and abusive. (Probably not, but the justice of it will feel good.) I have an 18 year old cat, who has been a part of our family since he was 9 weeks old. Bazzy gets to have all the treats he wants (even though he’s really good about eating his senior cat food), sleep all he wants anywhere he wants even if it means we constantly have to step over or around him, and get all the love and cuddles he wants. He’s the equivalent of a man in his nineties, so does not have the stamina to survive on the streets or in the woods. The thought of doing something like that to him has never even crossed our minds, because we love him so much and cherish what time we have left with him. You know, like anyone who’s a true mensch, and not a callous a*****e, would do. (PS—-I looked it up. 13 for a Lab is like 85 for a human. So this biatch abandoned an 85 year old in the woods.)

This cold-hearted moron needs to be punished. Taking care of old dogs is hard. I have an old Australian Shepherd and it's a lot of work to take care of him. He's deaf and sort of blind, hard to walk up and down the stairs. We love him to death and wouldn't abandon him like this. We carry him up and down the stairs and bought a stair lift for him. Dogs spend their whole lives making us happy and love us unconditionally. Don't abandon them when they need us the most.

This broke my heart. Here is a picture of my old senior yellow lab, who unfortunately is no longer with us, but because he lived a great 14 years. Towards the end, the poor guy couldn't hold his bowels. But you know what? I cleaned it up every day, because he wasn't in pain, and I owed it to him for the joy he brought to my life. I really wish I hadn't seen this at the end of an already depressing evening. It just breaks my heart. Our dogs give us so much unconditional love, so much devotion. I can just about fathom how someone who is broke and desperate and just can't care for their dog, leaves it in front of a shelter, but THIS? I hope the owners are punished visciously by Karma. just reading the story made me physically ill - i kid you not! how a person can do such a terrible thing is beyond me. there are other options but to take a dog to an isolated place with no reasonable way to survive is beyond cruel and heartless. hope they find her. hope they prosecute her. hope that someone will adopt this boy as soon as he is able to go to a forever home. i am in wisconsin and i would take him if possible but i am sure that there are may others in the local area that are waiting for their chance to adopt him and give him the best life he could have. if this woman did this to him what other careless treatment has he been subjected to?

Nothing any of us can write can express the horror of this situation. Of course we all want her caught and executed but, clearly that will have no impact on her. When she’s outed she will feign remorse and tell some sob story to try and explain her heartlessness but the only truth is that she has no soul, no heart and no right to live among us. This is why I now have a small private shelter/sanctuary. Our county has no public shelter. I live out in the woods on acreage. For years, people would drive out here with their cats or dogs they no longer wanted, dump them and take off. These were usually older animals, and often with a chronic health condition that needed treating. Your cat or dog, even a young, healthy one, is not going to survive long in these woods and is going to die a horrible death because we have coyotes, bobcats, eagles, and foxes here, always looking for a meal. People have even dumped off chickens and ducks! I rescue them if I can find them in time. Cats and dogs are amazing -- even with the betrayal, they learn to trust and love again. But some humans really suck!

The headline revealed all I needed to know, I couldn't read the article or view the footage for fear of seeing the eventual heartbreak in this dog's eyes when he realized someone he likely would have died for, just abandoned him entirely. What is wrong with this woman to be so depraved and detached from humanity that she would intentionally leave this intelligent and caring pet to a slow death by starvation, exposure, or eaten alive by predators in the wild, without so much as an afterthought? No earthly punishment for her or those like her would ever be sufficient, and may there be a special place in Hades waiting for her.

I sometimes wonder why people surrender them, but I do understand that sometimes they can't handle the medical expenses. Still....but I try not to be judgmental and give the animals all the love and care I can when I'm there. Right now it's a 20 year old diabetic cat, and a 10 year old abandoned mastiff mix who loves everyone and who we all adore and fight over who's going to walk. Je probably gets walked more now than he ever did when he was somebody's.

This is heartbreaking. I just recently had to put down my sweet Molly, a lab. She was my bestfriend and being disabled now, she was truly my companion. I loved her so much that I cannot believe that someone would do this. I would have taken this dog. I cannot afford another lab and to think one was just left with no one left to love him. I am glad that this had a good result but remember there are those of us who would just love to have another dog to be their companion in this life.

We just lost our beautiful 14 yr. old Lab 2 weeks ago. We were devastated. I am still grieving. I could not even imagine abandoning him. He is a part of me just like my human family. He was there when I couldn't couldnt get off of the floor when my back went out, he sat with me then when I was ready he stood and helped me get up. There were countless times he helped me and I loved him right back. My grandchildren grew up climbing all over him and he would just love them back. How dare her!! It just breaks my heart.
