31 Times Wedding Photographers Captured Kids Not Caring About Your Fancy Wedding
Wedding photographers know that taking perfectly posed portraits of kids behaving sweetly is a bit like herding cats.
That's why top documentary wedding photographers just go with the flow and capture kids doing what they do at the moment. After all, when little ones lose patience with all the pomp and circumstance they let it all hang out and that makes for some really honest and sweet candid photos like these.
Here at World's Best Wedding Photos, we have a huge library of photos from the most experienced and talented photographers on the planet. We have painstakingly curated and categorized each and every photo they've shared with us to quickly come up with lists like this one for you.
It's a pleasure and honor to share their work.

This Little Girl That Appears To Have Taken The Upper Hand
Photo by Rich Howman, a wedding photographer from London, England, UK and member of World's Best Wedding Photos.
Her, telling. Him, pleading and trying for reasonable. No chance. Lol.
I chose shrimp and they're trying to give me chicken! I don't think so!
They're negotiating nap times, the toddler has the upper hand on this one.
I put the dress on and these shoes are killing me. What more do you want from me?!
This Little Guest Waiting For Dinner
Photo by Dan O'Day from Australia and member photographer at World's Best Wedding Photos.
There can be long waits during weddings... not fun when you're tired and hungry.

This One Making The Most Of His Ring Pillow
Photo by Victor Marti of El Marco Rojo, wedding photographers from Spain and members at World's Best Wedding Photos.
Woman to the left of little boy doesn't look too impressed either. Ha.
She's jealous of the kid.. if only she could find a ring pillow for herself.. !!
Load More Replies...So much to see in this one! Sleepy ring bearer, unimpressed bridesmaid, kissing couple and yamaka adjustment. Mostly smiles though. Very nice!
The boy is cute but to be honest I'd be upset with girl on the left after I saw this pic
Am I the only one troubled by the couple in the second row....I think, kissing..and her eyes are wide open...
This Little One That Is Totally Fed Up With It
Photo by Yves Schepers of wedding photographer from The Netherlands and member of World's Best Wedding Photos.
I can understand how she might feel... weddings are tedious for children.
Oh hell aren't they just! Loathed every minute of the ones I was forced to go to as a child.
Load More Replies...that was me once at a wedding when i was little. i thought it was very boring and just wanted to go home!

This Sweet Girl Taking It Easy
Photo by Gaelle Le Berre from Australia, member wedding photographer at World's Best Wedding Photos.
Such a short wedding dress is just a very unfortunate choice when sitting down like that.
Load More Replies...Or doing up a button that he missed on his shirt??
Load More Replies...Pity the bride did,not keep her feet together. They spoil the picture.
This Little Lady Signaling It's Time For Some Attention

Photo by Gaelle Le Berre from Australia, the member wedding photographer at World's Best Wedding Photos.
I thought of Norman Rockwell, but I like yours better
Load More Replies...I suspect, from the position of her eyes, that she's aiming her concerns at the children.

Photo by member J. La Plante from Colorado, US, and member photographer at World's Best Wedding Photos.
Perfect. How to keep a young one quiet. 10 minutes later, asleep, somewhere.
Say Cheese. Assuming this is grilled cheese sandwich and the LAST photo op of the day for him.
Yesssss no more baby food!!! He took of his shirt and couldn’t wait to eat his very own grilled cheese sandwich with fries and a pickle. THIS IS THE LIFE!!!🥪🥤
These Boys Holding On To Their Sanity
Photo by Andy Gaines, a wedding photographer from the UK and members at World's Best Wedding Photos.
Staged. I don't understand why staged is preferred over real moments that give the greatest memories.
How do you know? It's a genuine question, I'm asking because I wouldn't know where to look to tell if it is staged or not
Load More Replies...These Little People Who Know What A Veil Is Actually For
Photo by Daniel Aguilar, a wedding photographer from Houston TX, USA, and member photographer at World's Best Wedding Photos.
One wedding i was at, two young girls held the veil as the bride walked down the aisle, but stopped halfway to have an argument because one said the other wasn't holding it right 😅
Reminds me of the YouTube video of the little boy running up and jumping on the bride's train. Instead of being bothered, she laughs and drags him along.
I'd probably do the same, I don't think such little things could ruin my joy and I wouldn't want to let it!!!
Load More Replies...Hope those kids are masters at hop scotch! Somebody should have hung up all the bridal truseaux (sp) and put it in safe keeping. That veil is in grave danger.
These Boys Entertaining Themselves Through Wedding Portraits
Photo by Deliysky Studios all the way from Bulgaria, member photographers at World's Best Wedding Photos.
Honestly, that would go up on the wall as a poster on a canvas. The compsition and the fun of the boys, the weather, the couple having their moment in the background - perfect!
It really does show how the adults have absolutely nothing to do with their children
Load More Replies...Interesting how the couple are encircled by a thunderhead in the distance.

This Little Boy That's Having Nothing To Do With It
Photo by Isabelle Hattink of Fotobelle, wedding photographers from The Netherlands and members at World's Best Wedding Photos.

This Little Man Getting Comfortable During Mass
Photo by Victor Lax, a wedding photographer from Spain, an esteemed member of the World's Best Wedding Photos.

This One Just Wants To Hug Something, Anything
Photo by member J. La Plante from Colorado, US, and member photographer at World's Best Wedding Photos.
That isn't wanting a hug, that is being bored, tired, and knowing that there will not be any age-appropriate fun in "forever".
This Sweet Face Wondering Why This Is Happening To Her
Photo by Two Mann Studios from Canada, member wedding photographers at World's Best Wedding Photos.
Not every little girl enjoys playing dress-up or being fussed over...
i went to ONE wedding as a child, and I will say i looked exactly like this the whole time. I mean I had to wear this stupid frilly frock or whatever and they started giving food very late. Also the food wasn't good either.
This Sweet Boy Trying To Deal With The Pressure
Photo by Los Angeles wedding photographers Callaway Gable, member photographers at World's Best Wedding Photos.
Probably not used to being forced into a dress shirt... the buttons, cuffs etc can all be a little too fastidious.
Off topic but look at that guy's sleeve. Not sure about the skyline but I'm digging the rest of it. On Topic, I get the tears, I hate getting dressed up too.
My friends recorded hours of their boys crying and asking for "Mama" and "Daddy," so when they become big mouthy boys, Mom and Dad can remind them.
This Dude Sunbathing In His Wedding Finest

This Flower Girl Letting It All Out
Photo by Isabelle Hattink of Fotobelle, wedding photographers from The Netherlands and members at World's Best Wedding Photos.
Normal wedding faces. Honestly, I'm really not sure why people do this to each other.
Load More Replies...Weddings in church can be so utterly long-drawn and boring. I remember my husband's cousin's wedding. One by one the family sneaked out of the church for a cigarette. And one more, and one more. Including the parents of the bride & groom. It was a hilarious sight, to be honest. The mass lasted for hours.
This Child Who's On A Mission
Photo by Yves Schepers from Belgium, member wedding photographers at World's Best Wedding Photos.
Hope she doesn't want to share it with the villagers lol
Load More Replies...There it is. My niece at four did this up in front of the entire assembly during the vows at my Moms second wedding.
This One Just Wants To Be Anywhere But Here
Photo by JOS Studios from Oregon, US, and member photographers at World's Best Wedding Photos.
Hell, I’m 59 and still do this when the mood strikes. Have to control the urge at work, though...
Kids will be kids! This child was actually watching her mother walk out the door just as “they” were supposed to be walking into the ceremony. Children never stop playing, something we can all learn from.
This Flower Girl Who Would Rather Be Going
Photo by Dana Cubbage, wedding photographer for South Carolina, US, and member photographer at World's Best Wedding Photos.
"Hello, I must be going. I cannot stay; I came to say I must be going. I'm glad I came, but just the same, I must be going, boo-hoo!"

This Little Guy Who Knows What He's Doing All-Day
Photo by Los Angeles wedding photographers Callaway Gable, member photographers at World's Best Wedding Photos.
Show him this on HIS wedding day. He'll probably have an adult only wedding haha.
I know some parents get offended by adult only weddings but as someone who loathed weddings as a child I'd have been deliriously happy if I hadn't had to go! That said - I had children at my wedding but it was very small and informal and so hopefully less boring for them.
Load More Replies...Oh, for heaven's sake, at least he has a tablet! None of the other kids did!
This Bay Girl Whose Going Nowhere In A Hurry
Photo by JAG Studios, a wedding photographer from Connecticut, USA, and member photographer at World's Best Wedding Photos.
Not sure what I am seeing? A diaper only I hope and entirely agree with Gillbella-see below comment.
Who's, Bored Panda. "This Bay Girl WHO'S Going Nowhere". As in, "who is". Whose is possessive. I usually try not to go grammar Nazi on people. Nobody's perfect. But if you're going to write headlines, and articles, that millions of people are going to read, you should edit a little better. Then again, perhaps English is not your native tongue. Either way, consider this a friendly little lesson. Just a bit of help. Love your site!!
Let's not overreact. Her 'undies' are either a diaper or some other bulk from her dress - there is nothing exposed that isn't seen on the beach.
These Littles Settling In For The Evening
Photo by Isabelle Hattink of Fotobelle, wedding photographers from The Netherlands and members at World's Best Wedding Photos.
So no one's gonna talk about the butt? haha, I CRACK myself up!
This One Trying To Be Discreet But Not Really
Photo by member J. La Plante from Colorado, US, and member photographer at World's Best Wedding Photos.
Grandpa: You know, I have just realized that...? Kid: Can we talk later? I have some job to do right now... Beautiful photo, btw
This Girl Feeling Right At Home
Photo by Isabelle Hattink of Fotobelle, wedding photographers from The Netherlands and members at World's Best Wedding Photos.
Exactly. I don't get why people run these looong boring weddings.
Load More Replies...This is one of my very favorite collections here ever! The photography, the color, the lighting are technically first rate and all the people are absolutely lovely. So many close families and so much love! Everyone seems to be glowing. Viewing these photos really brightened my day. Thank you for this and more like it please!
I'm so glad I'm not the only one who was deeply touched by these photos. My heart is glowing 💗
Load More Replies...That's honestly a tragedy. Your wedding should be how you want it to be.
Load More Replies...Weddings are not good place for the children at all, it's boring for them, thwy can't behave and can easily desteoy the day for the bride and groom. I really don't understand, why most of people feels offended, when couple wants to make wedding without kids at all, it should be always like that...
My parents were highly insulted when invited to a wedding and told it was for adults only. They felt it was a personal slur on their children. So they refused to go. I cannot understand what the hell they were making such a fuss about. So a couple wanted a child-free wedding? What harm is there in that? Weddings are frequently boring enough for adults let alone small children! Spare the poor things!
Load More Replies...I know people want their loved children to be part of their wedding but... for kids, weddings are BORING! If you're going to have young humans you better have some sort of entertainment prepared for them, and snacks, and water, and juice, and whatever keeps them entertained. Adults have long-ish attention spans but kids don't and once the novelty of the pretty dresses or the decorations fades away, they are going to be sleepy, cranky, hungry, or all of the above at the same time.
Good photography- but i now understand why alot of invitations express 'adults only'!
These are some really great photos that remind me why I hate weddings.
Neither my stepson nor niece were thrilled with their part... and they refused to be still for pictures 34291_4101...f4e740.jpg
Children at that age are completely egocentric. Brides and sometimes grooms are equally so. Guess no one knew that. Now go vote, you intelligentsia.
