I am a pastel artist, sidewalk chalk artist, graphic designer and letterpress printer living in Upstate New York. I do personal work and commissions. The Memorial Hands was a commissioned pastel piece for a woman who lost her husband and this was the last time they held hands. Proud as a Peacock was experimental, leaving the background as acrylic paint. The Catskill Cat was a tribute to iconic graphic designer Milton Glaser, who had designed a travel and tourism poster with a cat for the Catskills. I use soft pastels on pastel ground/ acrylic covered stretch canvas.
