Keanu Reeves.

Do I need to say any more? You already know that this is going to be a wholesome story, because pure goodness seems to be embedded into this man, accurately dubbed the ‘nicest man in Hollywood.’ His tirade of selfless actions has inspired many to restore their faith in humanity and to lead their lives by his example, asking themselves – what would Keanu do? (WWKD)

But enough of all that… What did he do this time around? I’m sure many of you have already run to the Twitter thread to find out, but just in case you’re still here (Hi! Appreciate you!), a TV producer caught a lovely encounter between Keanu and one of his young fans at an airport. The nervous boy approached the star for an autograph and then proceeded to ask every question in the book, whilst Keanu graciously answered each of them. Let’s dive into the details, shall we?

Whilst he’s busy fighting bad guys and time traveling on screen, Keanu Reeves spends his days in the normal world spreading goodness wherever he goes

Keanu Reeves was born on September 2, 1964, in Beirut, Lebanon, and was raised in Toronto, Canada. He first gained attention for his performance in River’s Edge, while the comedy Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventure and its sequel brought him major recognition. But perhaps his most famed works are the action flick Speed, the sci-fi blockbuster The Matrix, and the action revenge film John Wick.

Whilst he’s time traveling and fighting bad guys on screen, he seems to have developed a completely contrasting persona in real life. The down-to-earth actor has continuously lifted the spirits of everyone he’s come across through simple acts of kindness that shine through the drama and scandals stardom tends to bring with it.

Andrew Kimmel, a TV producer, shared a flight from London to NYC with Keanu and noticed a wholesome scene unfolding at the baggage pickup area

This time, a sweet encounter with a fan was caught by Andrew Kimmel, a TV producer and head of live video at BuzzFeed News. He and Keanu seem to have shared the same flight from London to NYC, and once they had landed, he noticed a small boy approaching the actor in the baggage area.

Andrew was close enough to hear everything, which he later shared with 61.3k of his followers on Twitter. “Keanu Reeves was on my flight from London to NYC today,” he wrote in the post. “A young boy asked for an autograph at baggage & then began to fire off a series of rapid-fire questions. Keanu happily responded to every single one…”

A young fan had nervously gone up to the actor to ask for an autograph, but ended up asking a tirade of questions as well, all of which Keanu answered

From why he was in London to why he was going to New York, the kid asked everything he could come up with in the short span of time. And Keanu indulged him, answering every one of the questions and later asking some questions himself: “Why were you in Europe? What galleries did you go to in Paris? What was your favorite?”

Considering the long and exhausting flight, I can only speak for myself when I say that the last thing I’d want is a child asking me questions. Tired, hangry, and needing a long shower and nap makes me the least approachable person in existence, but hey, maybe I need to remind myself of the question as well – what would Keanu do?

Mind Body Green has a list of 14 suggestions as to how to be more kind and compassionate. Some of their suggestions include being more easygoing and forgiving.

So what if Karen cut in line? So what if your coworker ate the last muffin when you were looking forward to some sugar after an infuriating phone call? So what if it started raining and you have no umbrella? Let it go and laugh at the ridiculousness of life.

They also advise practicing gratitude, connection and smiling more often, even if it feels forced. Walden University argues that smiling increases mood-enhancing hormones while decreasing stress. It also reduces your overall blood pressure, and because you typically smile when you’re happy, you bamboozle your brain to produce more endorphins – the chemicals that relieve pain and stress.

However, there should be boundaries to everything, including kindness. It’s not about martyrdom and it doesn’t mean being a doormat or allowing yourself to be taken advantage of. When it comes to kindness, it’s just as important to know when to say no.

We can all agree – the world needs more Keanus! Can’t wait to see what he does next

At the end of the day, we can rejoice in the goodness that is Keanu Reeves and the wholesomeness he brings wherever he decides to go. The man seems to be able to choose kindness and humility every single time, and that is something each of us need to practice. Just like Andrew wrote: “We need more Keanus!”

Hi, I'm Egle! If you made it onto this page, you may want to learn more about me. Would recommend reading works by Edgar Allan Poe much more than reading this bio, but suit yourself. I have plentiful interests, starting from the things I studied in university (Propaganda & Film, Sci-fi Writing, Psychiatry & History of Mental Illness, etc.) and ending with an addiction to tattoos, documentaries, and dancing in front of a mirror at 3am. I'm also a budding artist; I dabble in painting and drawing random bits of chaos. My favorite desert is Tiramisu.

My absolute fantasy is to "run" into him while riding my motorcycle, or even better during a "pit stop" (short break for a drink). The fact that I live in France does not help but one must always believe in his dreams....

Hey you never know, I lived in NYC until 2015 it wasn't an uncommon sight too see Keanu on the subway. We were always getting off at the same place -125th street except he probably LIVED or stayed in upper Manhattan at that time and I only worked there lol. He was always super nice even though regulars didn't bother him, he was always nice and talked to the tourists and fans that spoke to him. He seems super down to earth.

Out of all the celebrities to invite, I think he'd be my top choice. Just a genuinely good and kindhearted man. I bet he'd be the celebrity most likely to actually show up too!
