“Kaybid’s animals that are silently wandering the streets may remind the viewer that the world does not only belong to the humans, or that the urban ecosystem is one that is quite alien to the organic realm.”
“Kaybid” project, ongoing for over two years and nearly 400 individual unique collages created from 30 different species created and applied to the streets. “Kaybid” is an urban art “movement” that brings together street art, painting, collage, GIF, animation, augmented reality. Kaybid consists of small scale walking wild animal figures that are spread across the urban landscape. I have marked all of the animal places on Google Maps and posted their photos on the official Instagram account.
The installation locations are all spaces that the urban life passes through outside of buildings, sometimes the insides, walls, the pavement, abutments. These, the cities indeed, are spaces that these animals would normally not exist, nor would they ever want to. You can see here some selected photos, gifs of animals, and their silent steps in the city. You can also see the loop video with music at the bottom. By the way, you can find these gifs of giphy or Tenor moodboard, if you want to use them!
