50 Of The Best Johnny Depp Vs. Amber Heard Trial Memes That Give An Alternate Perspective On What’s Going On
Johnny Depp, 58, is suing his ex-wife, Amber Heard, 36, for $50 million over a 2018 op-ed she wrote for The Washington Post in which she described herself as a "public figure representing domestic abuse." Even though Depp was not named in the publication, he claims it cost him lucrative acting roles.
Depp and Heard met in 2009 and were married from 2015 to 2016. Now, they are accusing each other of acts of physical violence during their relationship and have both denied the other's claims.
The trial, which started on April 11, is expected to last around 6 weeks but has already produced a fair share of memorable moments. For example, Alejandro Romero, who worked as a doorman at Depp and Heard's former apartment building, last week gave recorded testimony from inside his car in which he was seen vaping and driving at one point.
Heard's attorney called it "bizarre." and judge Penney Azcarate called the moment a 'first'. "I just got to say, I've never seen that before. I've seen a lot of things, but I've never seen that," Azcarate said.
Reacting to this rollercoaster of a ride, people have been creating memes to express who they support and what they think of the whole process. So we at Bored Panda decided to compile all of them and present them to you in this neat list. After all, not everyone has time to watch the trial for hours on end!

Heard's lawyer is certainly a piece of work. In all honesty she has a good basis for her defense but her lawyers completely messed up the questioning by trying to turn it into a courtroom spectacle instead of just presenting the other tabloid pieces as evidence rationally. Oh well, made for some pretty funny questioning.
honestly johnny was such a big part of my childhood and i didn't even realize it. W***y wonka, hell he was rango for f***s sake. he deserves the happiness he gave to so many other people.
Why isn't this higher? This is the best joke in the whole article!!
I took a pic of that first photo too! It was epic. Amber turn was waving her arms around looking really agitated. It made my heart light!
This was after his mother died. That b***h mocked him after HIS MOTHER DIED.
We have to wait until the 16th for court to be back in session! What are we supposed to do in the meantime?!
“You continue to read them right.” was the best response ever! Talk about quick mind.
Oooh maybe they also support Johnny and doing a shitty job on purpose....
Okay, obviously Amber Heard is a terrible person. But doesn’t Depp have a history of abuse as well? I’m not saying that Depp deserves to be abused, but I think the memes painting him as some sort of nostalgic saint are inaccurate.
You bought into the uk tabloids bs. She hasn't a bruise to show for it except self inflicted ones. None of the women in Johnny's history reported any abuse and yet, with Heard, according to her, he's a maniac. #istandwithjohnnydepp
I can't even watch her on the stand. I barely got to 10 minutes of her up there and shut it off yesterday. She makes me legitimately sick. False claims do so much harm to the abuse/legal system. After seeing how she's treated, abused women will start hiding their abuse like before. This is why so many abused people don't take it to court(or even report it) because regardless, lawyers and media people, rip/twist everything apart and display horrible things. True or not. I cannot wait to NOT see her RBF everywhere.
Someone being in your favorite childhood movies shouldn't be a blank check on future behavior, nor should posts about abuse include memes and posters calling women vulgarities. That's abuse in itself. Be better.
This isn't about his past movies at all for me. It's the nastiness she put public on false information. This is damaging to abused people. Makes them hide and not report it. Unfortunately
That's not the only reason people are supporting him! There's been so much support from his former partners and his children, while she's on record abusing a former partner at an airport. The only thing he got violent with was the kitchen! Plus, imho, people are pissed off with her for discrediting abused women everywhere, which I think is the worst thing she's done.
Wow, Americans getting a bit carried away, right? Where does all the hatred come from and why pour it over those two? Maybe target something more important?
We do but the Republicans keep changing the rules to keep themselves in power then line their pockets with lobbyist "gifts" and dark finance money.
Yes yes Lana, I’m sure you’re a redpilled free thinker lion or whatever tf conservatives try to paint themselves as these days.
It only went public because Johnny ceased to get job offers after the op-ed. Amber put all the private stuff online. If I were him, I'd have done the same thing tbh. Btw, it's not only Americans. It's everywhere.
I like johnny depp. Having been abused by a woman in a relationship (insults, assault, etc), I hope that justice is won.
I watched Amber testify today. Almost hyperventilating, such emotion on her face, such distress recounting certain incidents....all with the eyes drier than an Arab's flipflop. Not a tear in sight. Probably the only performance she'll get an Oscar for.
She's acting better on the stand then her movies. That's not saying much. Weirdly, it seems rehearsed too much. The dry eyes are confusing
Never believed Johnny was an abuser. Guy with such a cool nonchalant manner, Depp doesn't strike me as violent. Such a farce in UK the court siding with Turd.
I love how people are like, We need to start believing women who are domestic abuse survivors. And then they go and believe Amber Heard out of all the f*****g women who actually survived domestic abuse
Literally not a single one of these memes is making fun of abuse, or belittling a victim. I don't see any "lol Johnny got beaten by a girl" or "JD must've done things to force Amber's hand because a woman would never do this" or whatever c**p. I'm seeing people making fun of the lawyers, and I see people happy/joking because a gaslighter and abuser is getting what she deserves - comeuppance. I also see people happy that male victim domestic violence is (finally) getting some much needed spotlight. I don't know why you think these are bad things to laugh about? I'm a victim of abuse myself, but none of these were triggering or insulting or offensive to me.
You're right. There was a great deal of abuse and this trial is bringing the truth to light: However, it's not the truth that Heard would have everyone believe. In today's "Me too" environment, it's often the first person's words that set the tone and automatically, they're given the title of 'victim' and the person they're accusing is branded as the 'abuser'. In this situation, it's coming out that the roles are backwards and it's setting a standard for people in the all-knowing media to actually look at the facts first and to remember that in the U.S. all are considered innocent until proven guilty.
Credit scores typically don't go below 450. Also, no way you would drop that much for being 90 days late even if the account was charged off. Hell, I declared BK and my score went from 670ish to 550ish. Also, I know I'm talking to a bot but I don't care.
Yes, because people like Amber Heard lie about being abused thus making people take every story of abuse with a grain of salt. She's not only defaming her ex, she's making a mockery of real abuse survivors. That's appalling.
You also have to remember that she's trying to not get sued. She has a reason to try to make herself out to be the victim. Depp probably wouldn't have gone to court if he thought he was guilty. He certainly doesn't need the money, it's just a chance to clear his name. Honestly, I think they're both probably a bit volatile when they're together, but Heard has a lot more to lose, so it's more likely she's the one 'exagerating' or outright lying.
Well..he actually does need the money. But for me, he deserves it. Not getting work since the op-ed is bad. We shall see. Not like she has 50million bucks. Probably hit up Elon again :/
Yep. That's why I said 'probably' and 'more likely'. Comment sections are great places for discussion. Feel free to weigh in if you have any points about the trial itself. That's the only thing I looked at. You may be right, but stereotypes and generalizations aren't very useful lines of thinking.
And your comment shows that you know nothing about the trial or what's been happening in it.
That's right. In ALL the pictures, recording and hidden videos(or security cams) not one had anything where he physically hurt her. You can't push someone like that for years and expect them not to lose their Temper on a wall or cupboard. I've been there and it is awful.
